Any one know the exact rules/laws as far as some of these stores selling hi-cap repair kits for the 30 rnd magazines? I have seen them at a couple of shops and was wondering if it is just a matter of time before they get busted.

No specific wording in the law regarding "Repair Kits" to the best of my knowledge.

THIS !
To the original poster, judging by your screen name, it should have been a no brainier not to ask any questions on this topic.
Unless you are one of these guys:

While the whole magazine ban subject usually drives me nuts, I didn't realize selling rebuild kits was becoming common at this point. LOL maybe I should drag those extra boxes out of the basement and start taking the mags apart... ;)

Okay 007!...I was looking for more info because I've had some people ask me about this and wanted to give them accurate info. Like BP Tactical said there is no specific language in the books, which I have not been able to find anything either. If you ask the guys that are doing it they are going to tell you shit that makes it seem okay to justify their actions and put money in their pockets. Excuse the fuck out of me for trying to see if anyone here knew for sure. You are right being an ffl I should know the answer to topics like this, but I don't. Which is why I was asking you guys here. The act of selling these kits is not something I condone or would participate in and I am not trying to bait anyone in the forum. I just wanted some clarification in the gray area of the law so I would be able to answer to this question and give people accurate information. I was told that this forum was good for info on just about anything, especially info on being an ethical and law abiding shooter. I didn't come here to get called out and accused of some top secret undercover magazine trafficking bust.

Being an FFL I would think you would seek actual legal advice and not information here on a forum on the internet. Contrary to the commercial "I heard it on the internet so it must be true", that is not the case and I would take any advice or interpretation of the law with a grain of salt.
I think they are probably NOT legal based on the following definition in CRS18-12-301 (2):
(2) (a) "Large-capacity magazine" means:
(I) A fixed or detachable magazine, box, drum, feed strip, or similar device capable of accepting, or that is designed to be readily converted to accept, more than fifteen rounds of ammunition;
But in this Alice in Wonderland state, who knows. I do know that the vast majority of Sheriffs in the state have said they cannot and will not enforce the law as it is written.
LOL. Yeah first of all, welcome to the board. Second of all, about every third question is answered with "don't ask" so don't take it personal. I'm also an FFL, and have no clue how to interpret the law. ANYONE in Colorado who tells you they are certain how to interpret these new laws is wrong. We won't know until the first lawsuit and appeal is settled, or (hopefully) we get some new reps in there who get rid of the stupid things.
Unrelated, anybody want to buy a case or two of pmags? I'll trade for a couple pounds of good quality marijuana and a truck full of doritos.

Agreed, anybody who watched the "debates" leading up to the final wording knows that they definitely were aware of the rebuild kits common in other ban states, and did what they could to outlaw them. Whether or not it will hold up in court, nobody knows. Many seem to be thinking it's a risk worth taking.

Take your smiley and shove it. You're just back tracking because I called you on your shit. Either you meant what you said or you are trying to provoke the kind of response I gave you. Quit being so paranoid and lighten up. There are still people who are looking for legitimate information and discussion among peers. If you don't know the answer or have anything constructive to say you don't have to reply. But don't provoke people just because you don't know the answer to their question. I'm not sure but I think that is what they call a troll...[Sarcasm2]

You are right probably not the best place for legal advice. Just thought maybe someone heard something through the grapevine and had some concrete info...anyway I'm over it. Thanks guys.

Uh oh, you called my bluff. I wouldn't know good quality MJ from the stuff they used to burn on the side of the highways when I was a kid. But I can tell the vintage of a good pmag just by smelling the wrapper. All of mine smell like pre-July 2013 of course.

It's been discussed enough in other threads, he /she /we should have researched it before starting another thread, on a somewhat worn/debated topic.
