http://video.foxnews.com/v/3403561402001/man-found-guilty-after-carrying-replica-bullets/#sp=show-clips During a divorce, Mark Witaschek's wife says he has guns in the house and the police come try to search without a warrant. Then a SWAT team comes back with a warrant and they found ONE misfired shotgun shell and some muzzle loader bullets and Mr. Witaschek gets convicted of possession of unlawful ammunition by the same district attorney that refused to prosecute the NBC host that flaunted, on TV, a 30-round magazine in Washington DC. This is the "justice" system in our nation's capital.
We call that rule of law. If this is how the laws are enforced, we have a duty to pick and choose the laws to obey. It's getting close. Many of us follow the law because it is the law. Even when the laws are unjust we try to work within the system change the law. How many of us wonder why we get a ticket for 7 over on road with an unnaturally low speed limit, yet immigration gets no attention. Where's my Kangaroo?

Think that's bad, look into the tax code a bit, that has been enforced by pick and choose for ages, and you practically can't be in 100% compliance with it unless you can file on a 1040 EZ. It's quite disturbing.

53,000 pages of Federal Tax Code, much of it contradictory. Everyone is a criminal.
What concerns me is that a dud shotgun shell is somehow considered "ammunition", as are some lead slugs that could just as easily be fishing sinkers. DC needs an enema.

the rule of Law is Capricious & Arbitrary . best example is ocare. MARCH 31ST DEADLINE. Which they now extended because not everyone was able to get online during the "last minute rush" or so says HHS Sellyouabus.
EVERYTHING the D's blamed the R's for regarding last years gov "shutdown" has now been melded in to everyday actions by.................the D's.
WE WILL NOT BE HELD HOSTAGE. HOPE they remember that come 11/14
Repeat after me:
I will accept any rules that you feel necessary to your freedom. I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do.
With complements to Heinlein.

With complements to Heinlein. This is a deep quote. I had to Google him. The guy ought to be a household name. I only recognized a few of his works. You sparked something, I'm gonna add him to me "to read" list.
I'm a big fan of Heinlein. He is the prototype anarcho-libertarian. Google TANSTAAFL.

Another from "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" (which, IMHO, is one of the best books ever written):
A rational anarchist believes that concepts such as "state" and "society" and "government" have no existence save as physically exemplified in the acts of self-responsible individuals. He believes that it is impossible to shift blame, share blame, distribute blame. . . as blame, guilt, responsibility are matters taking place inside human beings singly and nowhere else. But being rational, he knows that not all individuals hold his evaluations, so he tries to live perfectly in an imperfect world. . . aware that his effort will be less than perfect yet undismayed by self-knowledge of self-failure.
Everyone should read Heinlein.. a lot. If you don't like Sci Fi it may be a little hard. But damn is he so spot on about just about everything.
The Moon is a Harsh Mistress has some great corollaries to some things going down now.

I can't believe that they took this to trial. Great appellate case for slamming D.C.'s laws down again.
