The photographer could have very easily called back the happy couple and simply said "there was some confusion with our scheduling, I'm afraid we are already booked".

I cannot think of any couple that would knowingly hire someone that expressly didn't want to shoot their wedding, -the couple seems to want to make a statement.
I cannot think of any photographer that could not have very easily gotten out of this via any number of excuses, -the photographer seems to have wanted a little limelight as well.

When civil rights were an issue in the 60's I think the greater crime wasn't the denying service to blacks but the Dem controlled towns who would not allow black businesses owners, would not give loans, would not provide police services to keep from vandals destroying.

Now days we choose businesses owned by whoever if they are the best at what they do. If they take a political position we do not agree with we can choose another owner. Minorities are not discriminated against for loans or local municipalities when they open businesses.

So now the courts have said that I can no longer refuse my labor to a group of people that I don't like just because they want me. It makes no difference what my believes are about what they are doing, compliance is mandatory under the law. If I'm this photographer, I say yes to doing it and then I show up late and start drinking hard. Then take as many pictures as I can so I'm sure to have lots of bad shots of scowls, eyes closed, tongues out, strange backgrounds, wardrobe malfunctions anything that messes up the shot, then I would delete the rest of the good shots. You take their money and hand them the entire package and they will never know there was ever better shots. If I have to photograph to guys making out there may be a picture of me blowing chunks in one of the shots. I guess if the Skin Heads or KKK ask a black photographer to film there next gathering he legally can't say no.
