I remember someone saying that traffic is purposely slow through town to generate business, and as far back as the 1970s studies have been done showing that traffic congestion could result be reduced to 50% of current travel times. Don't know if that makes you feel any better.

cofi, I really can't say I blame you... in many areas the traffic lights are totally jacked up. We have a joke about a certain light up here in Evergreen that everyone swears is being controlled by an evil man on the hill, he turns it red at 2AM right as you're approaching with not another soul on the road, just to get under your skin.
