obama signed the credit card reform today allowing us to carry in national parks.
I don't know the full details, but either way it is a win.[Beer]

The bill goes in to effect in 9 months.. DO NOT CARRY IN NATIONAL PARKS, NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGES ECT... until then! You will go to Federal Pound You In The Ass Prison[Bang]!

Not effective for at least 9 months. I highly recommend not carrying til the rest of the bill becomes effective. There are delayed times built into the bill before it is law.

That gives the anti's in Colorado legislature time to prohibit carry in state parks thereby revoking the right to carry in national parks located in our state. You know it's for the kids. [Rant1]

I don't see them even trying. I mean, you can already carry in the Pike National Forest, and there are no recorded incedents of anyone using their CCW in an illegal manner, so I doubt they'll even oppose anything else.

As I've said in some thread I go to the NPS out on Sims in Lakewood from time to time to sell them coffee. I spoke to some of the employees that buy from me and most of them said they were against it. One Lady even claimed to be a NRA life member and she was against the new law. She stated that "its going to pressure the rangers". WTF! I would think it would help the rangers from filling body bags with the innocent. Or stop mugging or rape or whatever. Some people just don't get it! CCW isn't a licence to do "evil" its the other way around....stops "evil". Life time member of the NRA. Just another reason I don't support the NRA. They have closet libs on there roll!

1st... thanks for the all CAPS. That's great.
2nd... If you go by what Sotomayor and the supreme court has said...The Second Amendment has no bearing over individual States.
That being said if a State wanted to say fuck you, you can't carry... then so be it.
Just look at Illinois and New York or even D.C.

it will apply to federal lands. that's why they call them NATIONAL parks.
and according to chicago, federal rulings have no bearing on the state. look at the recent case where handguns are still banned for ownership in chicago...now the SCOTUS will have to hear it...apply the heller case, tell chicago to fuck themselves and pay attention. but that takes time. It isn't an open an shut case. so you knowledge is seriously flawed because the supreme court just upheld the right of all americans to keep and bear arms and it applies to handguns as well...hence why the DC ban had to go away. the fed hasn't said a damn thing to chicago have they...NOPE, the NRA filed suit the day after the heller case, it has taken this long, the chicago courts 3 judge panel all ruled the chicago ban was legal and it will now go to the federal court. REMEMBER THAT...
but since you have federal lands controlled by the feds, it will be 100% fed controlled and the state will have no say over the ruling that we can no carry in national parks.
also, take a look at Montana, passing a law (not sure if it is finalized or just in the system), but they have a proposal where no federal laws will apply to guns made within montana and residents will not be required to follow federal restrictions over those firearms because it is only a state issue because they are made in montana. (it has been made knowledge that this will not apply to machine guns for "officer safety" and so the state can have the "upper hand")
