I carry aiwb, and yesterday I put a good size hole I'm my shirt. Starting to notice all my t- shirts are getting holes around the same spot. Does this happen to anyone else? I think it is happening because the seatbelt is pushing up against my pistol. Going to tuck my shirt behind my pistol befor I put the seatbelt on and see if it changes anything. Any advice would be appreciated!

Yep, all of my shirts either have small holes or are wearing thin at my kidneys. Think it's from the rear sight.

Mine too, pretty much every shirt I own by now. Just rubbing against the grip and such. It's not your seatbelt... I take mine out in the car and put it in the crack between the seats (you really think you'll be able to access it quickly enough when it's buried under a seatbelt and you're sitting up against the grip?).

If you spend a great deal of time driving, you may want to consider changing your method of carry. Appendix carry or cross-draw would probably alleviate the problem with your shirts.

I believe he is carrying appendix.

I have had the same issue with holes forming in shirts off and on depending on activities. On a previous carry gun, I filed the outside edge of the rear sight and it provided a reduction in wear (Looked like crap). I am not a huge fan of shoulder/chest carry, but it works really well in vehicles. I carried with a cross draw for several years when I spent a lot of time in and out of vehicles. I just accept the holes now when I carry frequently.

More than likely the best course of action.

Yep. Most of my shirts (and probably all of my T Shirts) have little holes between 3 & 4 o'clock where the sights of my gun hit. furthermore my office chair and the driver's seats of our cars are all worn where my gun hits them.

I see it as the same thing as holster wear on the slide ... a badge of honor from exercising my right to carry (which I've been doing daily for almost 15 years ... the first few in Kansas before it was legal there).

I carry on the outside of my right ankle. It was too late when I had to scrap a lot of slacks before I noticed the thin spots, then holes. I drive A LOT. Some of my shirts had a hole at my left collarbone, too.

Well I'm glad to know I'm not the only one! I can't draw fast at all when I don't put the shirt up and the seatbelt behind my carry piece. I guess I will use the 2k lb vehicle to protect myself?

The only holes my CCW is causing are in my wallet. I just can't find the "right" holster for my piece, and have a box full of would-be contenders.

Throw em up in the Trading Post and recoup some of your expenses.

No holes in shirts, but I carry at 4 o'clock and all my pants are getting worn from the gun, similar to how your wallet in your back pocket will eventually wear a thin spot in a pair of jeans.

No holes, carry OWB at 3:30 / 4 o'clock, I'm too large (fat?) and IWB is just flat uncomfortable. Although I am going to the gym again (5 weeks in now) so maybe I will try IWB again when I loos e a few (many?) more pounds. It may keep me from having to buy smaller pants.

Would be interesting idea for some companies like 511 to come up with a shirt design to tackle this problem. Some shooting shirts look like they have panels on the outside for competition that prevent snagging by the gun. Not sure if something similar on the inside that would be comfortable to prevent wear.

A more expensive problem I seem to have noticed coming up (and I'm sure not many on here experience this) but seeing as how I commute to and from work in uniform (with full duty belt) I have noticed some wearing on my seat where the butt of my gun rubs the seat. I've only had this truck since August and the wearing has occurred over the last 7 months. I don't anticipate changing how I go to and from work, so I may have to drop some coin on a rugged seat cover.

Back on topic, I've noticed some holes wearing in my favorite hoodie (got it in the Army, it is my unit hoodie, since deactivated, so kind of irreplaceable). Makes me very much sad. I too have noticed a few shirts getting thin in certain areas.
