Just so it's clear:

Match gets taken away from the people who took over and ran a hugely successful, popular, and enjoyable match for all of 2018

A number of us try to prevent this from happening by emailing in support of the former match director - are completely ignored by the BoD at CRC.

2019 has yet to have a single match run....

[fail]

Brass:

As much as I'd like BRC to host it as a thumb in the eye to their illegal ASSAULT RIFLE ban seeing as PCC isn't allowed at the USPSA matches I doubt that will happen?

I'm a tard. I meant April and May. [fail]

Doesn't seem helpful to take over the match and then just cancel them all.

Geez, I forgot about the Boulder ban. Are you sure the club is within city limits?

Geez, I forgot about the Boulder ban. Are you sure the club is within city limits? The Boulder Rifle Club has some significant restrictions which may make holding a match of this sort quite challenging. They host a "positional match" but I could not imagine a run-and-gun event with AR's happening at BRC.

Well, that rules out BRC. My club, CCCSC is definitely not set up to host this event. So how about Weld?

Pueblo is up and running for Tactical/Practical Rifle and has been for almost 20 years.

I have some slots open for the rifle only match on 26 May...

Excuse me for having a job, and a family, and both sets of parents in poor health. So terrible of me to not set aside my family obligations for those of you willing to sit on the sidelines and bitch, but won't even lift a finger to help run the matches. And people wonder why more people won't run matches.

Hoser's matches are awesome, always have been.

There WERE people running the match.
I wonder what happened....

I helped set up every match I attended last year when it was run by the previous team running it...

What happened with this match left a bad taste in my mouth.

Lets everyone take a step back and remember we are all on the same side. The more bickering we do, the anti 2A droids win.

For what it's worth, I think BRC is actually an opportunity. BRC should ask the city for a temporary lift, in order to run a rifle match. It's a reasonable request, and while I fully expect a 'no', I think that it would at least demonstrate that the regulation in infringing on an otherwise normal activity that's widely enjoyed outside of Boulder.

It looks to me like the BRC is outside the city limits.

That's not really how laws or interactions with hostile government work.

Let's leave the political activism out of this particular thread. My only intent is to see if we can resurrect a great match that lost it's home range.

I don't know a soul at BRC. If Cy or Matthew, or anyone else is still willing to run the old style carbine match (not at CRC, of course), do they know anyone at BRC to approach with this idea? Great location, close to town, and lots of coffee and burger opportunities on the way back home... I can help with some of the matches. I know of at least one more volunteer who can get involved with most, if not all the match dates.

Looks like the 2019 CRC USPSA Rifle event is now completely dead. All previous matches cancelled and all future matches no longer listed on official event calendar http://crci.org/EventSchedule/tabid/2551/Default.aspx Hope Ben Lomand works out.

BRC does not have the facilities to host a quality dynamic carbine match (my opinion based on berm size/placement and surrounding open space). I also have no intention to contribute to the tax base of Boulder thus burger of coffee shops make no difference.

The Big Ben Match is a go at BLGC and the facilities are much better suited for it then either BRC or CRC.

Destro,

They may have deleted it, but I saw... and agree.

Censorship here is HAAAAARD.

Anyway- YES.

CRC is going Fudds-only membership.

-went from a ?no speed draw? lecture to all out ban on holsters

-ban lifted by hero (derp) offering a way to draw... for a price and a test... offered 1 day a year...

-draw tax indicated by orange flags signed by hero... except he never has enough, so only 5 or so people actually get them

-Roving patrols of old dudes in trucks (safety patrol?) stopping to shoot the shit and pry in peoples business.

-new cameras up ?in the problem areas?... I?m sure at the request of the new anti-gun catering regime there.

CRC is the NRA.

Completely fucked

Something to add to remove the isolated event of an awesome match being cancelled for absolutely no good reason.

This match no longer exists. There is no more reason for this thread to be open. It's just a festering wound on a dead horse.

Closed.
