Quoted for absolute truth. How many want to wager HRC will do her damnedest to try and institute the single payer system? Like MarkCO said, it's what the Progressives wanted from the start. They're always saying "look at Canada!" Yeah, what they're not saying is that Canadians used to come here to get operations done because the wait was so long up there. Wanna see how good a single payer system will be, just look at the VA.

Yup, this right here. Obamacare doesn't work because it was never designed to work. It was designed to fail and when it fails the only 'solution' will be single payer. [facepalm]

I've been saying that since 2009. It seems clear as a bell that it can't work the way they say it will work.

There are several ways we could end up with single payer:

One way would be that as more and more private insurers drop out, there will be a push to get Congress to either create a new agency to give health care to people who can't get an insurance plan in their area, or to expand medicare/medicaid to include more and more people, and once that agency gets established, then all the other private insurers will unload their low-paying customers onto the government agency, insuring only the "Cadillac" customers.

Another way: All but one or two insurers will drop out of Obamacre. The remaining insurers will then go to Congress and say "we can't make ends meet on what we're getting now so we either have to jack up our premiums or else you, the government, have to give us a huge subsidy." That insurer will get a massive subsidy from the government (which we will all be taxed to pay for) essentially making them the de facto government provider while technically remaining "private."

And that, of course, was the intention all along. They couldn't sell single-payer in 2009 but once they established the expectation that health care is a "Right", they have paved the road and now they just need to let the rules of economics take over until the people are clamoring for the government to 'DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!'
