Figures.

I priced new snow tires 2 weeks ago, got busy and missed the cutoff for a nice little rebate, and now when I'm ready to pull the trigger, it snows so they'll be jammed up.

[Bang]

Glad we're getting some moisture though. My sprinklers have been off for weeks...

Can't wait to see the lines at grocery stores.

Snows done last week car 1, new tires on the urban assault van last month, 4wd with the truck and full tanks in all of them. Outside water lines blown out tuesday. Just another day at the homestead.
Time to make one of those 10 for $10 betty crocker red velvet, or chocolate fudge, cakes.

Kazoo, if memory serves me right you still got a Sienna AWD? Are your tires run flats? How are they holding up?

They better hold up good, they have 700 mi on them.
The run flats on them when we purchased it has 35K and were good for another season, of good weather. With the buy 3 get the 4th for $2. from toyota there was no reason to run worn tires this winter. These are bridgestone driveguards with a60K (YMMV) life. Figure 45K realistically

The spouse says the AWD sienna is her go to winter weather vehicle. To the point of her saying last year. IF we ever buy another vehicle. I want it to be a full time AWD unit.

We had a red flag fire warning yesterday - in mid November. Bring on some snow!

[Flower]Mmmmmmm fudge cake. I got the groceries yesterday and am making soup for dinner. Have the boys building a fire in my smoker so I don't have to get dirty. Ham for later. The snow is pretty!

I was on a challenging roof this morning, then had to cancel an easy one this afternoon due to the snow. Go figure. Very happy to finally see snow. It was 80 dang degrees yesterday!

Snow here, nothing sticking to the ground yet we'll see how tonight goes. I was really getting sick of the warm weather.

Wind out of the NNW, picked up speed while I was out so I only got 7 miles. I was getting pelted by ice off the lake, it was GLORIOUS!!

It was great, I'm glad this storm came in during daylight hours so I could go play.

The drive home was nice and treacherous. It's about time we break in the n00bs that moved here this year.

I vote for slippery conditions for the next four months. Maybe make a few of those newbies realize California wasn't so bad after all.

What kind of tires do you have on there? I remember driving my little brother to school in my Dad's Lincoln Mark VIII back when I was in high school. It would fish tail every time we went over a bridge on I-70. Fun times.

Ease off the gas on overpasses and when transitioning from one set of ruts to another. Let them wheels roll.

Yep, changing lanes is always the worst. Driving with an LSD in the rear is a steep learning curve as well.

Just the all seasons the car came with. I had bought a set of wheels and snow tires, but they don't fit over my brake calipers.

The lane change wasn't even planned, the car snapped to the left and I just rolled with it so I could avoid the flashing lights up ahead.

Heavy fog and mist this morning. Made for a great walk. So far, about 6" of wet snow. Roads are slick. Cars in ditches all over the place.

Two camps. Driving too slow or WAY too fast. [Shake]

All those noobs can kiss my redneck azz.

5 1/2 hrs to get home from Breckenridge this afternoon. Breck to I70/Kipling was a little over 4 hrs.[emoji33]

Love this button, rotate over to the snowflake with the weird candy cane looking thing in the grass and go

That hill descent button and the adjustable ride height reminds me of when Jeremy Clarkson drove a vehicle like that in Wales. Range Rover?

Yea, awsome in snow , this light stuff and the heavy stuff too. Pretty easy to spot the Colorado newcomers already on the road just today

This was a good test for me for the new-to-me F150. Had some problems on our hill, so went straight to the friendly hardware place and got 4 bags of tube sand.

I was already planning to buy another vehicle for the winter, so I'm going to look at a few this weekend, including an F-150, Tacoma and Blazer.

You'll be shock at how well a RWD car with snow tires handle in the snow. I know two S2000 drivers who regularly drive their cars in the snow with dedicated snow tires and they never get stuck. Your prob will be clearance.

Here's part of my drive. Took me 2 hrs to get home because of people with Bald tires. We pass a prius just spinning at 1min mark
