As soon as I saw the video my first thought was that's exactly why they're all placed behind logs.

I went by their website and for only $295 each they'll sell you some ballistic protection for the controllers.

I'm going to design a similar system designed to be used out at the Pawnee Grasslands. Every time the wind gusts, all the targets stand up. Should be cheaper to implement.
