My rear view mirror fell off last week and since I have tried the following:
1. 3M Stick Mount from the Auto Store
2. 3M Heavy Duty Mounting Tape
3. Heavy Duty Glue from Auto Store
4. 3M Stick Mount (2nd one) from Auto Store
5. Super Glue
6. 2 Part Epoxy - Gorilla Products
Nothing held my mirror up, WTF am I doing and/or what kind of wizard voodoo magic occurs when you have your windshield replaced?

This is what you need. I have some at my shop if you need it.
Take it by a safelite. They'll stick it back on for you.
Those homebrew kits dont work for shit.
Safelite charged me just a few bucks do do it once, and several times for free. It was the one right at 120th/York (ish)

Unicorn semen
If it helps, don't glue the mirror back on. Glue the little metal mount and let that set up for a bit. One drop of the special "rear view mirror" adhesive is almost too much. Also, clean the windshield and the little mount button with a razor blade and then some isopropyl alcohol before regluing it.
I've done probably a hundred of them and have had excellent results.

naw, you have to rough the glass up a little so it'll stick...
I suggest a pick axe- yeah, that oughta do it

If you would put on your mascara at home you don't need the rear view mirror.....[Coffee]
I've always just used the stuff for that purpose from the auto parts store. But yes, razor blade and iso alcohol first, get it all CLEAN! First thing to do though is mark the outside of the windshield where the mounting block needs to go. If there's any sign left of where it was, old adhesive, etc., just put a mark with a Sharpie or piece of masking tape over that on the outside. Makes it a lot easier to locate the mounting block.
Don't try to mount the whole mirror, just do the block and put the mirror on it when it's cured. Might put some tape over the block to hold it in place while the adhesive cures.
And don't put the block on upside down or sideways - that'll make your ass red.....

Had to do it a hundred time ? That doesn't sound like very good luck to me............[Tooth]
Your instructions are the key, the last time I had to do one, I left the metal piece taped up after gluing for a couple of days before putting the mirror back up.
