Ok. Thought it might be fun just to see what everyone does for a living. I know we have members from all walks of life- law enforcement, tech people, sales professionals, mechanics, etc. thought it might be fun just to see how diverse we really are here.
I’ll kick it off.
I currently work in the natural gas industry. Eleven years as a mechanical specialist, a couple of years as a controls technician, and currently do engine reliability analysis and emissions testing.

Safety consultant for an insurance broker. OSHA compliance, safety training, air sampling, fleet safety, property protection, etc. Also oversee a regional team of claims and analytics consultants. Any injuries, property damage or claims we can help a client prevent is money they can use to grow their business instead of paying more for insurance.

Network "Engineer" (put in quotes for you actual engineers who get pissy about IT guys claiming engineer status :D)/24x7 Network Operations Team lead.
I went from my first day at my first IT job to somehow securing the team lead slot for the network operations team in 3 years less one week. I'm not amazing. I don't get how it happened that fast, other than the senior guys were smart enough to know they didn't want the position. :D So I basically defer issues to vendors and herd cats, my favorite of which is a Vietnam/Combat/Marine Corps vet who is, frankly, insane.

Day job is a Señor network engineer for a large telecom, on an MPLS network product dedicated to financial transactions (securities trading) in the US and EMEA. Emphasis on high availability and low latency using redundancy and multiple levels of diversity to maintain connectivity. At least this week- big shake up at work, not sure what the final outcome will be after it's all said and done.
I moonlight as an amateur cattle rancher- have 20 acres, Agricultural tax exemption, tractor, stock trailer, and farm/ag plates to go along with it.

Dang it. I'll admit I didn't even try to do a search. [fail]
Man... just browsed that other thread. Lots of people on there that I haven't seen here in a while.
Apparently I missed that thread in 2010/11 and it must have slipped past me when it got bumped back up in 2016 as well.

Been a while, but I used to plow the old DFAS, Buckley Annex. Only place I ever found boring to do, made some damn fine & massive wind rows however. Just a side gig, when I wasn't on an island.

Commercial lot work is a tad bit different than interstate in a tandem w 14' plow and 30,000# of sand/deicer.

Silly me, I thought we were doing declarations & I didn't know this was a qualitative contest.
Is that the 'tad bit different' direction you want this to go, Sir?

Almost bumped the 2010 version of this, not the 2018 version... (Only sorta necro-thread this way...)
Got these from one of the guys working with me in STL last week.
~160' aiming microwave dishes. The tower itself is 295', and we are all thrilled that we don't have anything above 160'.

Zoomed in... Yes, that's one of my Steiners that is on a home built mount for aiming dishes. It makes aligning PTP links a cinch... Standing on the sidemount like this can get a little interesting. Still attached via fall arrest lanyards, but yeah...

Wow that requires multiple special skill sets.
Now, we can use that chicknorris' F=mgh equation.

I totally get that heights aren't for everyone, and I honestly won't make fun of folks for it.
The first time I went past 80' I had to take a moment, rope off, settle down, say a quick prayer that amounted to "Lord, don't let me screw up", then on I went to 180'. The highest I had been to that point was 60'.
All that said, I enjoy climbing. It's definitely a different set of challenges.

While I'd be happy to do 260' if they paid for it, what people don't realize about tower work is it's exhausting (from my limited experience of even 100' towers). Even if you have no fear of heights, the ladders suck/hurt after awhile, and it's hard to just stop anywhere for a breather, as you're still using almost all your muscles to "relax". With nothing flat to stand on it also kills your arches if it's a long job. Props.
All true. 100% true. The only thing I would say is that having a rope access harness makes it a little easier to get settled and relax for a few minutes. But you're still 100% correct, you're still working muscles while "resting".
Long days on towers are normal. It takes a ton of energy, and you have to weigh the need for sustenance and the lack of bathrooms against each other... (Nothing worse than HAVING to climb down for facilities, just to climb back up and finish the task).
Steel shank boots help with the aching arches, but only so much. You're spending your whole day standing on .5" round bolts, .5" angle iron edges, etc, and none of them are equal height, as Foxtrot alluded to.
I've been to 230', but 260' or 295' wouldn't bother me, except that it's just that much more effort to get there and back... lol. If I don't have to go higher, I'm usually good with it.

I never thought of the bathroom angle, but I've always held out there well. If you're high enough maybe people wouldn't notice your trousers half off. [LOL] [Constr][pileoshit]
Pretty views on towers at least. Esp. at night.
The only thing if is, is that it doesn’t freeze solid on the way down like when an airliner dumps its holding tank, so aim, wind speed and trajectory is very important.

I used to monitor the power grid for the Western United States and part of Mexico/Canada...That was last year...Now in the process of getting California to start managing their power grid as well a Mexico. Later this year we will expand and take over most of the Western US except for some Rocky Mountain Power Companies. I used to climb Utility poles...but that was over 25 years ago....lol.
