The long, forgotten history of pro-gun left-wing groups.
Seems interesting.
Not everyone should have access to guns ? domestic abusers, for example, have proven by their actions that they cannot be trusted with that kind of responsibility ? and not everyone needs it. No one without a significant amount of training should be handling a firearm at all, which is why I think designated community patrols made up of well-trained, highly trusted individuals who are chosen by and held accountable to said community (and who do not hold any or less power than anyone else due to their position) is a far better and more equitable defense model than messy ?everyone gets a gun!? rhetoric.
Ah, so not really pro-gun, just pro-Leftist gun. Got it.
Just like free speech, profits from business, getting ahead in life.
Those are all OK if you're a (D), if you're not a (D) then your speech is restricted, you're a greedy bastard, and you got ahead by exploiting other people.

Also anyone that identifies as any flavor of "anarchist" who turns around and starts recommending any rules, regulations, laws or restrictions on ANYTHING is clearly a hypocrite.

With all the question marks in that, I read it in my head like some ditzy valley girls was saying it.
So like guns? Shouldn't be for everyone? Or whatever? Omigod!

Question marks keep Comrades alive when the boundaries of badthink are changed. "I was just asking guys, really. It's okay to ask questions, right?"

Hey now, these Anarchists are like any other that want free housing, healthcare, education, food, clothing, energy, sex changes, and recreational drugs. Because that's Anarchy.
Or they're Commies and realize that's dangerously closing to be Fascists.
The new hotness is "Automated Luxury Communism." Everything without work. If you just believe hard enough.

I had a realization about this just recently.
Insofar as anarchy represents an outlook in favor of tearing down the existing structures of a civilization, then it's not surprising that a lot of lefties claim to be anarchists.
Furthermore, given that Marxian politics seem to have an inbuilt feature of continuous "revolution" essentially without end, and that it encourages people to constantly try to tear down whatever societal structures exist (even if they're post -capitalist, -democratic, -theologic) then through that particular lens of crazy, big state lefties can always claim to be anarchists.

I saw a movie where only the Government had guns.
It was called "Schindlers List."
I will take a hard pass on his idea.

Claiming to be an anarchist fits their narrative better than Neo-Nazi.

Yes, I know fascist might have been a better word choice for some (as Skip also mentioned) however the minority & target of hate has shifted to a different demographic.
Maybe I'm just sensitive to the semantics as I'm married to a Norwegian who can't wear a tshirt that his mother gave him because someone might be offended & then he'll lose his job.
Can you get him a Blood Angel shirt instead?

If you are any measure of northern European descent, your ancestors have probably been plundered by the Vikings. I'm 37% Irish with roots back through Scotland and Wales and to the Nordic tribes to a much lesser degree. Apparently, I'm also like 1% French whore, so there's that too. ROFL.
1984 was only the beginning. (And it started long before 1984).
Journalist violently attacked by Antifa recalls ‘complete anarchy and lawlessness’ (https://www.foxnews.com/politics/andy-ngo-attacked-antifa-portland-starnes)
The Oregon clash between Antifa and conservative demonstrators was "complete anarchy and lawlessness," according to a journalist injured in an attack by alleged members of the group.
Andy Ngo told Todd Starnes Monday on "The Todd Starnes Show" he was covering the Portland demonstration Saturday when the protesters turned their attention to him.
"I moved towards the front of the march with my GoPro and my camera, and what I recall is somebody ran hard into behind me and hit me very hard in the back of my head," he said.
"They were marching, ironically, in front of the Oregon Justice Center -- which houses the sheriff's office and a Portland police precinct -- so we were surrounded by all these institutions that represent the rule of law.
"And yet, what happened was complete anarchy and lawlessness."
The journalist said Portland police did not immediately come to his aid, adding he later watched video of nearly a dozen people pummeling him in the street and dousing him with unknown substances.
"Before I could realize what was happening and remove myself from the situation, the punches and kicks kept coming from every direction," he said.
"When it was happening I didn't know how many people were hitting me. It felt like I couldn't tell if it was five or ten or 20.
"They continued to hit me and they threw what I think were milkshakes and eggs and possibly pepper spray all over me."
Ngo said just before he was attacked, the demonstrators were chanting a phrase he found ironic.
"No hate, no fear," he recalled.
When the police failed to appear, Ngo said he continued to try to break away from the melee.
When the journalist finally reached an area near the Multnomah County courthouse, he said he was told to head back toward where he was attacked.
"In order to get help, I had to walk back in the direction of protesters," he said.
In the aftermath, Portland police released a statement about the protest.
"During today's events, there were multiple assaults reported, as well as projectiles thrown at demonstrators and officers," the statement read.
"There were also reports of pepper spray and bear spray being used by people in the crowd. Officers deployed pepper spray during the incident. There were reports of individuals throwing 'milkshakes' with a substance mixed in that was similar to a quick-drying cement. One subject was arrested for throwing a substance during the incident."
In the wake of the alleged attack on Ngo, one Republican lawmaker has called for an investigation of city officials.
Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler should be investigated by federal law enforcement officials following his handling of the protests, Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, said Sunday.
“To federal law enforcement: investigate & bring legal action against a mayor who has, for political reasons, ordered his police officers to let citizens be attacked by domestic terrorists,” Cruz tweeted alongside a story recapping the incident surrounding Ngo.
Where is the outrage from the left? Nothing but excuses.

Go and read the comments section on the Portland PD twitter feed. There are plenty of centrists and conservatives speaking out against what happened to Andy Ngo (and at least two other people), but those on the left side of the spectrum are speaking out, in favor of what happened to Ngo, and calling for more such actions in the future.
No way! Social media with the anonymity of the Internet isn't bringing out the best in people? I'm shocked. [facepalm]
It's the same reason these Antifa jackasses have to hide their faces. They don't want to be associated to their actions. If they're such heroes for the left, they should take off the masks and be recognized for their contributions.

Andy Yang is the only one I could find. He tweeted yesterday. He is not a serious candidate and probably doesn't get the memos.
I believe this is a very serious dilemma for Libs and that should be very concerning to the rest of us. Political violence and (actual) democracy don't mix for obvious reasons. If they don't reject political violence and Antifa then it means they are keeping that option on the table and/or view them as part of the coalition. I've said before, this is their domestic paramilitary org and the mainstream Left is becoming very comfortable with Communism.
This also explains their obsession with banning semi-autos. Can't have people able to defend themselves from Party Brownshirts if those forces are going to be effective.
In other news, the "right winger" who drove into the Antifa crowd, killing one, just got a life sentence...

The thing that annoys me most about that case is that before he sped off like a dumbass he was confronted by Redneck Revolt ... basically a sect of Antifa that carry rifles. They pointed an AR or AK at him and he freaked out, yet no mention of them.
I agree that this kid is responsible for his own actions, but had the political affiliations been reversed the guys threatening him with the guns would also be going to jail.

Yup.
And this is why they don't want media they can't control recording them. Commies can't do paramilitary things with cameras rolling while we still have elections.
