Media reports are scant.

Anybody know details of the shooting, condition of the Deputy and where the suspect was "contacted"?

The family and I just drove through there early Tuesday morning (1-2 am).

And I wonder why we travel armed...

Thanks!

Serious but stable is a pretty good status given the situation.

Deputy alert and talking to family / investigators. Outstanding!

Event started as active theft from a semi-trailer.

Perp is dead near scene from self-induced gunshot wound. I wonder if the Deputy got a hit on target and the guy didn't want to be arrested, or he had a complete introspective change of heart about his ways?
