Having stairs was normal in a 2 story home. I'm finding out it's about wealth, NOT the actual design of the home

Reddit is a cesspool of largely young, wanna be socialist, liberals around the globe. So yeah, their definition of "rich" is going to be very skewed.
There are some sub-reddits where you can avoid this, but the majority of the "common sub-reddits" and the front page is inundated with nothing but deluded liberalism.
It is truly astounding to read some of the comments that ALWAYS percolate to the top, and realize that these people truly believe it. As an example, I just saw something where the general consensus was that the Republicans were guilty of having targeted the schools and school board positions for the last 60 years. Something that is very easily proven to have been the liberal left, but they believe it. Because Vice, CNN, or some other even more flagrantly slanted "news" source printed an op-ed that said so.
It really is the definition of an echo chamber.
After reading a bit on that link, I find that a lot of that is the difference from not really making it from paycheck to paycheck and those that have a job with benefits. There are a few uber rich ideas like having a maid/butler, etc.
Reddit has some good areas that I find useful. I have joined one area dealing with an odd but powerful networking switch I own. Another area is casual info from an area that I use to live.
Now; you are not wrong that may/most social sub-reddit groups are pure echo chamber trash and and the goal is I can show more hate about that subject than you can.

I always wanted a rope ladder and fire pole in my house. Trampoline and zip-line may be fun as well.

This is what I think of when I think of reddit. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211114/6c5f011a07c4ed51c52537dfe8854c82.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20211114/4dc083d2155a8f987360ed10b5ab1c3b.jpg
And what I think of is this guy discussing relationships. 88370

I'm glad I don't bother with reddit.

Whatcha got?
I visit reddit for the pictures, that's how I found this and many other gems:

There's no way to reference the age or country the commenters are in or from. I can relate to doing math in the grocery store, taking care of the hand me down clothes and reading the menu right to left.
Being poor varies by country. One of my Indian coworkers would talk about sleeping 5 to a room, on the floor with a mat as his cover. The mat folds up to make their seat. Guests got the "extra plush" mat.
Child labor, keeping the rats off you at night, wondering if you're going to eat that week is sadly the reality for a large percent of the world's population.
It's a typical clickbait article imho. Imagine if they cherry picked random comments in the 1950's schools and made a news story out of it.
"Children have turned into homicidal lunatics at school!"
"Virgins think sex involves a pee pee and a butt"
Luckily they had to actually have a story to publish one back in the day....

Reddit used to be fun, but started going downhill after Aaron Schwartz killed himself. Steve Huffman started ushering in the era of locking down reddit to please advertisers, and that started the slide into Reddit being super woke. Now it's complete cancer.

Yeah. That's what Yahoo news specializes in. I find it surprising how many boomers can't seem to figure this out.

I consider myself in the golden years. But with the last health issue. Possibly my Twilight years ;)

That's one of the weirdest articles I've read in ... well, actually only in about three days.
Not much wisdom in the first few that I read. Not worth my time.

Being poor varies by country.
My nephew did three years in Uganda with Peace Corps.
He has seen poverty. Flies on baby's faces poverty. He came back a different man.
These pussies on the net claiming to know the difference between poverty and wealth are fools.

Well, I guess I’m rich because I don’t know how much money exactly is in my bank account at this second and when I buy groceries, I make smart choices without worrying if I can pay. And I’ve had a house with stairs ;)

Reddit claims punching a bully in self-defense is unforgiveable violence and will ban you if you recommend punching a bully in the nose. I don't deal with 'em anymore.

Those idiots will never know the simple joys of a monkey knife fight.
Anyone with the time and resources to make a post on the internet about poverty or being poor obviously doesn?t grasp the concept.
The gene pool these days is in need of way more chlorine.
Reddit, as almost all Social Media today, is very sinister.
They censor posts they don't want, and promote posts they do want.
The top posts today, are from forums like antiwork, latestagecapitalism, etc.
These aren't organically the top posts, but they are being manipulated to get to the front page.
