EXCEPT take them and shoot them...
I don't have the energy to pick up all the broken glass...
Ok - let's see your ideas...
Otherwise they go in the recycle bin....

They do that in high school chemistry. I wouldn't know though because chemistry was the only science class I didn't take in high school.

Go buy a BIG tarp... place them in middle... shoot to hearts content... wrap up tarp, take to recycle plant!

Sounds good to me...

I have seen people make lights and stuff out of them? That would be cool to "silver" one or two for special occasions.

If you want to get rid of some, I'll take as may of the Patron ones as you're willing to give up.

You MIGHT be able to donate them to a high school for slivering projects, but with how pussy schools are now a days, I'm not sure how well that'd go over.

My HS science teacher taught us how to make corn whiskey, but that was in the early 90's. Your probably right they would say no.

That is what I thought it would be...
See I have a collection of the nice bottles... but I have boxes and boxes of the empties that I just have no use for...
I may try this on one...

No... there is no problem... I can drink fine.

Sell them to 21+ college aged kids to enhance prestige.

I'm not kidding, either. I know guys well into their 30s who *still* keep vodka/tequila/whatever bottles around just to "prove" to people how much they drink. Brand is important, too.

I can almost guarantee you could get $1/ea, maybe $2, if you sold on craigslist boulder.

funkfool

I tried to put them on craigslist... you know maybe some 'crafty' person would have a use for them...
NOPE.
No takers even at a buck each...
Guess I shoulda put 'em in for Free.

keep them tucked away in a corner of your garage or shed

when the breakdown of society comes, use them for molotovs.

Silvering is a fairly easy chemical reaction. The problem is buying the materials to do it. The solution that has the silver ion in it is pretty pricy right now. Pm me if you want more info. I can look up the stuff for you later in the week. Sigma Aldrich probably has the products in stock. This is how the ysed to make mirrors in the old days, btw. That's why they were so heavy.

Making grain alcohol... well, that will take you a week of fermentation at least and then the right type of distillery. The distillery isn't cheap to make right. Do it wrong and you light off the alcohol vapors, a kaboom you'll never forget. Use the wrong materials, and its not drinkable. Kinda have to mess around with that stuff like reloading, a hobby that takes a couple of months of messing around to get it right without blowing **** up.

I'm in the just recycle the damn things crowd.

I had an empty Patron bottle that I used as a planter. filled with dirt, stuck in plant stem, watered, let the plant grow. It doesnt drain though so I don't water it too much. I picked hardy plant that doesn't really require too much watering.

Back in the day it was very common for people to use upside down beer and soda bottles as lawn and plant edging. http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac44/jerrymrc/3154471_f260.jpg
