View Full Version : Paracord local?
Does anyone know where I can get paracord locally? I have an idea, but I need some. The key is that I would like to look at colors and make my decisions in person.
Thanks,

Bowers Tactical. I was just there today. However, I only saw two colors OD green and black.
I'll check them out. Thanks!

REI or other sporting goods stores usually carry a selection of them.

Army/Navy surplus off of Broadway, they have a ton of paracord in several different colors, from OD to Purple, and everything in between. They have it in spools.

When asking questions like that it would be helpful if you either had your location in your profile (preferred) or psoted it in the msg.
I know a few sources for paracord (better known as 550 cord) here in Colo Spr. In my opinion, the best place here is Glenn's Surplus (114 E Mill St - just off of Nevada by I-25.)
I'm in Aurora, I thought it was in my profile info, sorry about that.

That is good info, I'm just not sure how much I need... Time to do some research.

I think you can buy by the spool or whatever length you want.
The Army Surplus store by me has it in spools as well. Too far across town for you though.

yes... actually they have packs of 50 feet, 100 feet of standard. Then they have spools for 'by the foot' ($0.06 per foot for standard and $0.08 per foot for GI). I bought 100 feet of GI for $8.00, and 12 feet of pink standard for $0.72. Tried what I was thinking, didn't work, so I made a regular design for myself and my girlfriend. I found instructions online for a new design I want to try, but I need to get more para cord in different colors to simplify things for myself.
HOLY DEAD THREAD BATMAN!!!
Still trying cool things with paracord, but now I am looking for mini d-ring shackles. Does anyone know where I can get those? I found some online that are 3/4 inch, but they are 13 dollars a piece and I think that is ridiculous.
Might want to try a Jax, both paracord and D rings, not sure on the smallest D ring they have though.
Where is Jax? Aren't they only in Loveland?
Army Surplus store should also have those.
And just in case you ask in a few months, they also carry axe handles, fishing poles, and ammo.

ha ha, thanks. I didn't see them when I was there today, but I will check again when I go.

I'm just making myself and a buddy a bracelet. The shackles aren't real shackles they are mini, like really small, small enough for a wrist...
