I disappear for a while and nobody posts on shotguns?
fine
My wife just bought this:
http://www.gunsamerica.com/userimages/953/983699346/pop_wm_2284199.jpg
It's a Browning Superposed (JMB designed!!!!!) superlight 12 ga.
it weighs about 6.5lbs! English stock, 26 inch barrels
the barrels have been drilled and briley thin wall chokes installed and the shiny finish has been removed and a nice oil finish put on.
it's literally brand new.
there WERE no wear marks of any kind (and you always get some on the forearm on superposed). Probably either never shot or just a few boxes and put away.
What have you gotten lately?
I disappear for a while
A while? I thought you were dead...

yeah
I wouldn't want to shoot full house 1.25oz loads in it
But we shot 75 rounds of 1oz loads and it shot great.
it's not designed to be a heavy load gun, it's a game gun.

thinner and lighter than a 23
Made in Belgium, not Japan.
the superlight was remarkably light.
On all superposed's, the forearm doesn't come off, it's attached to the barrels, which makes it much thinner than a "normal" O/U forearm.
and where's the pic of your 23?
"...nobody posts on shotguns? What have you gotten lately?
Nothing lately...but...I'll "juice your thread" (at the risk of being redundant as I've put these pics up before in the Gallery). I like to "whore these pics" every chance I get, she's the pinnacle of my arsenal currently!
But...but...I am "shottie jonesin'" at the moment and early in the coming new year I'm picking one these up (http://www.remingtonle.com/images/shotguns/870pwood.jpg). Screw the all black, synthetic, pistol-gripped, railed, over-forended lit-up, ghost-sighted, weird stock, side-saddled tacti-cool Hollywood poop. I'm gonna buy it, put a couple of cigar burns and knife carvings on the stock, pour some Jack Daniels on it, drag it down the gravel drive then take it to range for break-in / test and then finally...she'll go into production-use (i.e. will be my new home defense shottie). [Tooth] OK...I'm kidding but...give me the old school "Standard" 870P (Order No. 24899), I just have to have one.

That is a Winchester Model 21! I barely had to look at the picture, and if I was around it in person, I could have identified it without looking at it by the shivers in my spine.
That sir is a stunning thunder stick.
"...a Winchester Model 21!...stunning thunder stick.
Yes it is and "yes it is," thank you for the kind words. Specifically; Skeet Grade, 20 guage, 28", pistol grip stock, checkered butt, made for Stock, Inspection finished on November 13th, 1947 and Cody letter in my safe.

Yes, that is a gorgeous shotgun. I'll bet it handles very nicely too.

Good to have you back.
While I don't have anything a beautiful as the one's you and cebeu posted, I'll have to go break into the safe to take a pic of an old army 20" Winchester Model 12 Army riot shotgun I've got.

Only one I have (for now) is my clay gun. Just a basic semiauto... nothing special.

Nice, you know the best part about Model 12's don't you?
They don't have a trigger disconnector.
Just keep pumping with the trigger down.
Awesomely fast.
JMB design wins yet again.
Is it messed up that I got semi errect at that mod 21 pic?

A Browning Citori in 28 gauge is very nice. If your into spending that much on a shotgun. A friend of mine just picked one up.
My Grandad left us a Winchester pigion grade SxS in 12g. It was unfired until I took it to Kiowa Creek for an afternoon. Works great, kicks like a mule, and it went back into the safe. Left a huge welt on my right cheek. I'll try to post some pics tomorrow. My grandad bought it NIB from Carl at BaileyGuns several years ago. I think it was made in the 60's. He got a smoking deal from Carl if I remember he paid $1200 NIB. I was with him when he bought it, so..... I think that makes it mine [Tooth]. Krasni will just have to wait for me to croak!

M23 I assume? They don't usually kick that hard... what the hell were you putting through it? I have several sxs guns that kick harder than my 23.
$1200 is a smokin' deal... that gun is well north of $2k now.

I was a retard and ran the 2 3/4" high brass #5 field loads. The first 50 rounds werent bad, but the last 30 about killed me. Thing shoulders to my cheek bone for some reason, and is fairly light. My other doubles dont do that, but I'm sure it's just the way I'm shooting. And yep, Carl treated him right. I just hope I didnt lower the value much by putting 80+ rounds through it.
Stuart, your killing me [ROFL1].
