I have two lab mixes that are hard chewers, by that I mean they rip apart toys very quickly. Looking for tips for good toys that they can't rip apart in 15 minutes.

I've got two bulldogs, and believe me we've gone through everything. The few toys we've landed on that seem to have some durability are the hardened plastic frisbees at petco, the mini tires they have do pretty well, and then we always get them the giant knotted ropes, those last for a while.

I like Kong dog toys. We've had two of the snowman looking toys and one in the shape of a dog bone, so to speak, for a couple years and our dogs (one Australian and one German Shepherd) haven't chewed them up yet. And you can put treats in them and they will work all day long trying to get them out.

Kong toys usually have varying degrees of durability. The black ones are designed for strong chewers. Most of them you can put a treat in there to keep them occupied too. My pit's favorite toys are "Tire Biters" in the largest possible size. I get them at PetsMart. It's a rubber tire with a rope through it. The rope usually lasts 5-10 minutes unless I take it away from him, but the tire usually lasts a couple months. I throw it to him, play tug-o-war, he fetches it well, shakes it as hard as he wants. He's torn through a few of them, but it takes a while. Usually he tears the middle (traction area) of the tire and he'll end up with 2 frisbee shaped tire pieces. Give em a try and see what your dogs think of them.

Thanks, I haven't seen the black Kong toys at all. The other kongs that I have gotten for my pups last a very short time.
My dog loves water bottles. Just take off the cap, neck ring, and paper label. Let 'em chew away! Just keep an eye on it so they don't swallow any plastic etc. You could wrap the bottle in an old rag/towel if you're really worried. They just like the crunching sound.

+1
My dog also loves water bottles. They last about 30 seconds with him unless I'm actively playing with him and making him jump for it, etc. But after a while they cut his tongue up a little.
My dog Bear loves toys that squeak, problem is, the material of the tough ones he hates... need a good tough squeaky one, we have the same problem, he destroys every stuffed animal within an hour or two.
Here's for reference of my little buddy (with his best friend Bella the Golden before she passed a couple months ago):

One of my customers has pits, and saves his old front motorcycle tires for them to play with...

I thought about giving mine motorcycle tires or bicycle tires to play with, but I wonder if it's dangerous for them to swallow accidentally. My dog does pretty well at chewing things up and not swallowing them, but every once in a while he gets an upset stomach and I'll see a couple pieces of chewed up toy in his puke. I think the rubber from the Tire Biters is safer, but I'm not positive if there's even a difference at all.
Kongs! My guys love them and have lasted for several years. Firehose toys look sturdy. I also use knotted up climbing ropes.

+1 on Kongs!
The black ones are 'indestructible' and has survived a pit for the last 6months w/o even having a chunk taken out of it.

Our friends had a very aggressive (toward toys) pit years ago that would wreak havoc on us playing football in the yard. Every dropped or incomplete pass he would swoop in and try and nab the ball, if he got it he would pop it quick. That was until they got him a Kong... oh and some pits must really hate stuffed animals, everyone of my friends that have pits a stuffed animal gets demolished in minutes, if not seconds.

^^^ Exactly. My dog is partial to soccer balls. It's been more than one occasion that I've had to give some kids whatever change was in my pocket to buy a new ball.
Black and red kongs here. Occasional nyla-bones.
Lawn Tractor tires. we used to have a dog that loved em.
Never could chew up to swallow.

I have a rhodesian ridgeback that chews like you wouldn't believe. Comforters. My shirts. Pillows. My cat (to be fair, it was merely a nibble). My toes.
I got her a rope toy and she LOVED it, but chewed it to pieces in about 10 minutes. I finally found her a 1 foot monkey's fist knotted rope toy at PetSense (PetSmart wannabe in the small town near me). She plays with it every day and its so heavy (made of like 2" rope) she can sometimes barely lift it. We've had it now for couple of months and its still completely intact.
She also has a kong, and another bright orange "indestructible" type of chew toy, I remember that Struttin' Pup in Lafayette had the brand, it's some hybrid rubber that literally can't be destroyed. If I recall, they even have some in a mint flavor and another in something else to entice their teeth.
the black kongs are ok for my pitbull.....and a product called nylabone is as indestructible as it comes
