M1 Garands, M1 Carbines, other odds and ends. They are all owned by the U.S. Gov and lended/leased to other countries. When that particular country is tired of them, they are supposed to return them to U.S. possession. A few years ago, there was a large return of Danish lend/lease M1 Garands that came back to the country. It was a good time to buy them!

In this case, Obama is not allowing their return to U.S. soil.

I guess I just paraphrased the entire email/brochure without the political slant or verbiage.

I do have to agree with the CIC on this one. Garands are terrifying.[Flower]

I carried the M1 in 67. Then traded over to the Mickey Mouse gun (M16) What a pile of crap those were at first. Ended up with a mod. 37 Ithica 12 ga. and a 1911. I was a Tunnel Rat.
Sorry, just a load of crap no one wanted to hear.[BooHoo]

how do you keep all of them happy?

OneGuy67

Every once in a while, I will take 3 or 4 to the range at a time and put some rounds through them. Every once in a while, I will find a good deal on a replacement part that is needed for their complete restoration like damn original lock-bar sights or an original cartouched stock and they get some tender love and polish. Otherwise, they are safe queens.

CMP's customer service should be able to tell you what constitutes proof.

CO-AR15 is a club as well. You have to pay the $10 membership fee. As seen here.
