The report on the new CZ. Great gun! 120 rounds and zero jams! For a previous owner of a DAO ‘jamming’ plastic ‘gun’ this was a pleasure! [Please do not send hate mail! This thing about my previous ‘plastic gun’ is not my opinion but fact! It jammed even after a trip to the factory! No names… so no one’s feelings get hurt… sigh!]

Any how, the SA trigger was smooth. So much so that I shoot some double taps… and did not intend to do so! I got compliments on the double taps… but they came along because of the smooth SA trigger and my lack of time with this new gun. I will get it right… some day!

The large capacity mag was great to load 11 on the first ‘load and make ready’. One in the tube and 10 in the mag! Also, this particular gun had a nice quirk. After finishing a mag the slide stayed back… of course. But, as soon as I inserted a new clip, the slide went forward with out my intervention and I was ready to rock right away. Cool!

My scores might not reflect how good the gun was but my lack of expertise with this new gun in my hands. I had a few ‘procedural’ penalties because of failure to ‘slice the pie’ properly. This of course does not reflect on the gun. On one steel silhouette, I hit it three times and it would not go down!

I am happy with the new CZ 75B SA. Great gun indeed. Also there were some great people at the CCIDPA match on Oct 14th.

Ooo, ooo, I still want to know! What was the gun that malfed on ya? Does it start with "G" and rhyme with "Rock"? :P (If it was, hey, even Glocks can malfunction and have probs just like anything...)

I'm not an expert but I believe a lot of pistols will do that. My Glock 23 will do that too if I stick the mag in with authority.

Anyway, congrats on the CZ workin' so well for you!

Mr Driftwood: Thanks for the comments.

No sir, it was not a G-rock! I am soooo embarrassed about it that I do not want to post the name. It was not one of the major manufactured guns..... It is no longer in the arsenal.

CZ has impressed me with a gun that is well priced, well built and accurate to shoot....

I have no vested interest in CZ or any other gun manufacturer...

Mr 7idl:

You sure are a rough crowd... :P

OK... I got a revolver for my CCW, but after witnessing an IDPA match I wanted a pistol. Mistake #1: With my limited finances, I went cheapo...
Hi-Point C9 9mm.  Should have waited for a better gun. After a trip to the factory for the C9... it still jammed.

Did a lot of research and settled on a few guns, the CZ being one of them. When I found this one GREAT deal I threw plastic at it! [sin!]

I gave away the C9 with the understanding that it did jam. The person understood and just wanted it for occasional plinking. I could not bring myself to sell it in good conscience!

The revolver has worked perfect from day one. The lesson was costly but I learned that one should research first before buying.

There!

Excellent choice. I have a fairly new (only 4K rnds through it) SP01 that I love to death. How was your out of the box accuracy?

Although this weapon was used, it shoots straight... very accurate indeed. I got a great deal on it. I am now a CZ fan!!
