Looks like I had just a little too light a spring in there. Never noticed the hit. Looks like it had done it before. I had it out a couple of weeks ago and had not noticed it when I cleaned it the time before.

I did notice that the spring seemed a little weaker because it FTF a couple of times from the locked backed position. Oh well, a little clean up and a new spring and rod....http://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac44/jerrymrc/toys/Picture541Small.jpghttp://i884.photobucket.com/albums/ac44/jerrymrc/toys/Picture540Small.jpg

Ive seen the guide rods break like that before. It's usually just from less quality metallurgy, but the slide? Never seen that before. WTF are you shooting out of that gun? That slide might need some attention in the impact area. It shouldn't be doing that even with a super light spring.

The slide will need a little touch up. Guide rod was GI. WWB when it broke. Normal loads are 200 SRN lead loaded for target not power. I will order a new rod and spring and check it over close. [Beer]
