Open ceremony is quite dramatic.

I am looking forward to it this year, I love the Olympic games.

I saw something on Drudge about the queen parachuting in... Looked pretty funny. I hope we win the medal count.

Wonder how are the prospects are for the 12 year old chinese gymnasts doing this year?

"Now...when does women's beach volleyball start?"

Changes there too (http://www.post-gazette.com/stories/life/fashion/extra-coverage-an-option-for-olympics-beach-volleyball-uniforms-645965/)my man... [Shake]

...itsy-bitsy bikinis have all become synonymous with beach volleyball, but fans will notice some changes when the sport's elite vie for Olympic gold in London. The bikinis aren't going anywhere, but they'll be joined by other uniform options that provide extra coverage for those wanting more modesty due to cultural and religious customs. The updated regulations introduced longer tops, with or without sleeves, and shorts that are no more than 3 centimeters above the knees, as well as full body suits.

I hope the best athletes win, country not an issue. I recall incidents like Mary Decker tripping, Etc. Mishaps occur. I just want the best to medal, not people who benefit on technicalities.

That's OK. Team USA will still be sporting the bikinis. God bless America!

It's a wonderful dichotomy: They get welfare from the U.S. and yet can compete as their own country. I'd shed nary a tear setting 'em free of us. I see no benefit to the U.S. to keeping them on the dole.

I see Mexico has a team. Weird since I thought everyone who could run, jump and swim was already in America.

Someone needs to put Paul McCartney out of his misery. His singing of "Hey Jude" was worse than dollar beer night at a karaoke bar.

I have absolutely hated that song since I was old enough to hear.

I tuned in right before USA took the field. How many of those guys are ever going to actually watch the cell phone movies they were taking while entering the stadium?

I did like the angels riding the bicycles and the way the torches merged together.

Yeah, and Ralph Lauren (designer and maker of uniforms) says "Sorry, I'll get it right next time."[Eek3]

No next time for Ralph I say..
