(I meant Ned FOLKS not Foks...LOL)

I get back from hunting all day and decide to go to the "Damn Liquor" store in Nederland for a well deserved relaxant.

For those that aren't familiar with Ned, it's just a bit left of Boulder on the political spectrum. IOW, hippies infest the place. It's a great place to visit (Ah Pook..don't flame me here!) but you might have to look past the leftie element depending on where you go.

OK, so I get out of the woods in full camo. I take off the camo shirt and go inside the store. When I walk in the guy with the orangish/yellowish hair says "Hi!" all friendly like, then I notice that he glaces at my t-shirt and makes a disgruntled face. I had a "Come And Take It" shirt on with a pic of an AR on there. Oooops, a Ned no-no I guess.

So I go and browse the beers and this guy and his butt-buddy start talking about Mitt Romney and the Convention all the sudden - and LOUDLY (I was the only one in the store). Saying stuff like "they just don't give a shit about people man" and "rich people just don't get it", yadda, yadda. All the silly cliche stuff that hippies have memorized.

I completely ignored all of this and just went to the counter with my libation and say "Wassup guys?". Silly Hair Guy says, "Well, we're just discussing all of this country's problems". <sigh>

I just smiled and said "Yeah, we sure have a lot of problems these days".

Why do the libs feel the need to stuff their shit in your face? When I see a douche with a PETA shirt on, I don't suddenly start talking loudly about hunting just to piss them off. I might think "you're such a pussy" though...[LOL]

Next time just remind them that when shtf, swinging a "man purse" isn't gonna get shit done.

Nederland is for people for whom boulder is too confining.

BTW you should have left, loudly and specifically making the point that they clearly don't welcome your money there.

don't support these assholes.

I have a lot of stops in Nederland and Boulder. Most liberals are really too stupid to be allowed to own propane. Should be a background check required.

I was wearing an Air Force hat one day and did a stop in Boulder. The old, ugly hippy lady customer made it a point of interjecting her (entirely unsolicited) opinion that the world would be a better place without the military. I made it a point to tell her that my son was in the AF and had killed/contributed to the killing of a large number of people that really needed killing so that she could continue to enjoy the freedom to speak her mind.

She called my company to complain and was finally connected to my boss who promptly recommended another propane company. As far as I know, everyone I work with is pretty right-wing...or at least not completely leftist.

disclaimer.... I have nothing against weed. But stupid people get stupider and I know of too many people on the govment dole using my tax money to buy the shit....

Well, why the hell not? [Coffee]

The least you could do is invite them over for a barbecue. [Awesom]

I like the comment about "rich people just don't get it." Really? The people who better their life, and aren't wallowing in the muck year after year, are the ones that don't get it?

[Flame][Flame][Flame] :D

My guess is that Mr. Orange and his buddy have not voted in many elections. Yes, I know who you are talking about.

Dam Liquor has a disproportionately high amount of very uppity beer in light of the typical clientele I see in there. I'm well aware there are plenty of extremely high net worth sorts that live on the hills up there but I'm always amazed by the far North end (far right side cooler) of the beer section, and the prices therein. I'm not talking your $12/6-pack stuff, it's the $25+/bottle stuff that I find intriguing.

I seem to recall a year or two ago they had Tactical Nuclear Penguin (my memory may be off), but that is some seriously pricey beer....if liquid that strong can be called 'beer'.
