View Full Version : Tango down's new flip grip.......??
At first I thought it was kind of a cool concept, the little animated gif is hypnotizing, but the picture with the grip flipped forward looks.........well uncomfortable and Fugly.
I like my BCM gunfighter grip, I guess Tango Down is trying "one up" BCM.

Man... maybe the people that thought this up should try to redesign the wheel next.
People who throw complicated, unnecessary stuff on their rifles will probably love this thing.

The same bullet still comes out of the little hole in the front of the rifle right?
Must be for really really close quarters "Combat" when you need that extra 3/8 inch!

Tango Down will sell these by the thousands. Don't axe me why, but they will.
I've tried almost all the tacti-cool shit over the years. Now I have my rifle, EoTech and standard GI-style sling. It works for me.

Looks to me to be a solution to a non existant problem. YMMV

What up with the cheese grater forward grip?
Nothing says repeatable grip like a pistol grip that constantly moves around.

They justify that as being intended for CQB?!? I've never been in close quarters with a long gun thinking "Damnit, if only this thing had a perfectly vertical grip..." If that was really and issue, why wouldn't every pistol have a grip 90 degrees to the bore axis?

I just don't see any accuracy if that grip keeps moving [Coffee]

Just put a motor drive on it;). What's another couple of pounds for the "Operator" crowd. [Bang]
What up with the cheese grater forward grip?
That is the Viking tactics UVG Ultra light vertical grip. (http://www.vikingtactics.com/rifleacc_uvg.html) Saw it a while back and thought ????? It is ugly and looks like you "could" grade your fresh Parmesan cheese around the campfire. It is "Super ultra" light and a crisp $100......... worth it? That I guess is up the person shelling out $100 for it...........

I check out Gear Scout now and then, you should see some of comments others are making.......
The only new grip I have found interesting in the last couple months is Strike Ind's Cobra, looks like they took the MAGPUL AFG and Noveske K-9 barrier support and combined them.

I don't know how many times I've been at the range and thought, "If only this pistol grip were less ergonomic."

ahahahahahahahahahahaha. Now that you say it, it totally does.
Looks like a nice way to get the skin on your pinched so you can learn to withstand pain while shooting. [ROFL1]
I think it's meant so that you can shoot closer to the body... I've shot some paintball guns like that and it helps you squeeze into weird positions with the gun close. Personally I wouldn't want it. But it probably is "functional".
