Aiden welcome. Where were you in Alaska? I was stationed at Eielson AFB from 87 to 92. Loved every minute of it. Would still be there if Uncle Sam would have left me be.

I was at Elmendorf (Anchorage), great place to live if you love the outdoors.[Bounce]

Welcome! Did two trips to Alaska with the Coast Guard, back in the 70's, never saw the Aurora, (cloudy all 4 months I was there) but lost radio communications regularly due to interference!

LOTS more sun here.

It's something everyone should see at least once in their lives, I know what you mean about the interference, you can actually hear it if your away from the city.

Thanks for the welcome![Beer]

Welcome,

I have a brand new grandson named Aedan (Gaelic spelling), 6 weeks old. When my daughter told us we thought it wasn't a very common name, but we've started noticing a lot of people with your spelling.

I also experienced the Aurora, but it was in Finland north of the Arctic Circle up around Rovaniemi during the winter Solstice. Awesome sight.

Where are you stationed here; Peterson, Falcon, USAFA?

Grats on the Grandson, Aiden didn't used to be a very common name. I think its the number one name for baby boys now though...

I'm stationed at Buckley AFB in Aurora.

Ah, Buckley. We have to run out there next week to get my wife a new ID card reflecting her TFL status since she turns 65 in February.

I used to work for one of the contractors out there, enough said on that subject.

I'm a member at the Aurora Gun Club. It's due east of Buckley, on the east side of E-470.
