So, I love my wife, I really do. She's so thoughtful and she cooks for me and gives me back rubs and all that. However....
she bought me my rifle scope for my Larue that's still being built.... This is what she bought: http://www.bushnell.com/tactical/rifle-scopes/elite-tactical/ers-6-24x-50mm-g2dmr,-1mil
she was also nice enough to get me a set of rings: http://www.trijicon.com/na_en/products/product3.php?pid=TR106
dang it, I love this woman!!!
Here's the rub: I want to shoot looooong range with the Larue.
Is it possible to shim these rings to make them 10 or 20 MOA offset?

You have 75 MOA of elevation in that scope. You should be able to go a long way with that much adjustment. You could always buy a canted base or or mount for it, but I think you should be good to 1k and better. Not sure what you consider "looooong" range though...
PS: Be thankful; most guy's wives would buy them a BSA and not know the difference...

I think out to 1200 ish is far enough for now. I still need to get out there, though. Starts with the rifle and optic.
i feel like a schmuck because I've had a couple awesome offers for night force scopes and other really nice glass for great prices.
Website says 70 inches total adjustment.

You only get half that 75 MOA without a rail with some angle. Even with a DA of 10,000ft, you're going to just get to 1K. I'd return the rings and get something else.
And that is assuming you don't have to adjust the scope out of its mechanical center during sight in.

So....recommendations? I prefer to shop local (Denver still counts as local)....

Is it an OBR? If so it comes with 20 MOA built-into the rail.
If its not an OBR then why are you buying it?

Not an OBR.
do you have a recommendation? If not, move along.
The problem I have with that kind of set up is with eye relief. I need a base/rings combo that moves the scope forward a bit. Otherwise I feel like I am all scrunched up. Especially prone.
My advice would be to take the rings back or sell them and then get a 20 MOA one piece base/rings set up.
Hope this helps.

Kinda hard to make recommendations for a rifle that doesn't exist and no spec's , what will work for one set up is not feasible for others . The scope doesn't drive the mount choices the rifle does .
