At what point do you QUIT feeling guilty over other people's panicking? I mean... Can you feel sorry for someone who is FINE with paying PANIC prices?

The stores don't don't seem to have any problems with it... So WHY should we?!?

Buyer's market?

Simple law of economics?

There was a gentlemen from this board who bought an AR-15 upper from me before the "shat hit the fan" for a damn good price. Do I regret selling it to him at that price? No.

I see it this way: most of the people on this board are good, honest, hard working folks who treat you the same way they wished to be treated.

From what I have seen, the big stores are still keeping their prices within reason, even though most items are back-ordered. Small guys out to make a buck- not so much.

That's my $.02.

If a member here is willing to pay your outrageous price, far be it form me to call you a price gouger.
I would have to berate the people willing to pay 3X factory MSRP on a used Frankengun.
Prices will go back down if everyone refused to pay these prices.

People want to pay crazy prices, then make that crazy money. Win, win in my book.[panic]

^^^ I agree... Simple Supply and Demand.... I've got what you want and so you'll have to pay what I'm asking to get what I have!!!!

HaHaHa...
Doesn't this law apply to the dating and, in some, cases marriage?!?

That's the price of being unprepared and trying to catch up.
sucks for them, I know I took the rights steps and the panic has not effected me. Yes, I could have should have might have but I'm not sweating it.
If someone will pay an outrageous price who's fault is it?

I never started feeling guilty, so I can't really stop. I'm pretty sure that would be like dividing by zero.

I've never started feeling guilty... But given I sell stuff for a living. I guess that's just me.

No guilt here. I can't wait til these people try to sell their $2000 AR15s in a year and find out it is only worth about $700.

I sold a few Pmags on here for a really fair price, right before the SHTF. I don't mind, and don't feel like I "lost out" on making some money. I got a fellow member some mags, I got some cash, and we are both happy. With that said, I've made some decent coin on Pmags and Glock mags, which I listed on Armslist, and chose not to list on here because I wanted to make some money and not screw the members over.

Highly doubt we will see Sub $1K AR's again. DEPENDING how bad we get hammered AWB III wise. IF it's real bad the black market will put anything semi in to NFA prices.

From what I've read, one of the basics of playing the stock markets is to sell when the herd is clamoring to buy, then buy back when they're all screaming to sell and get out. The Contrarian play, go contrary to the herd.

But, this ain't the stock market.

AR-style rifles of one flavor or another have been available for purchase since the late 60s. It's not like most people over the age of 25 haven't had an opportunity to purchase one (or something similar) before now. I know not everyone has the means for all of the guns/ammo/accessories they want and most of us have to prioritize how to best support our families. But this trend isn't anything new. As far back as I can remember I've heard people talking about gun control.

Guilty? No. What we're seeing now is a cycle that's been repeated over and over in the firearms industry. It didn't take a genius to see it coming again.

charge what the market will bare . i felt strange about rasing the price of my mags from 7 each to 20 each .then i realized that the same people who turned their nose up at my 7 dollar price 2 weeks ago now have the money to pay more than twice the amount . i say f*ck em . the writing was on the wall for years and many ass hats chose to ignore it so now they can shell out green backs .

jim is right 1000 dollar might be a ting of the past but im hoping that its not

Buy LOW, Sell HIGH...

Yes, for long positions. Never heard of short positions? Sell high, buy low? If you sell a bunch of something at a high price when people are clamoring to buy in, and then buy it back from them when the frenzy's over and the price is crashing, and they all want out, guess who wins?

Buying low and selling high is a long position. You never actually get anything physical in your hand, you're just taking something off the market at one price and putting it back in later at a higher price. Make a profit.

Short selling is just the opposite. You still never have anything physical in your hand, you're borrowing shares from your broker and selling them. Then you buy them back later at a lower price, pay the broker back, and keep the difference as profit. Put something in the market at a high price, take it back out later at a low price. Make a profit.

Not unlike Pmags or other gun stuff -
buy a bunch at $12 or so apiece, then sell them at $80 apiece, = profit.
sell a bunch at $80 apiece, buy them back later after the frenzy at a cheaper price, = profit.

Only difference is you can't "borrow" Pmags or gun stuff first to resell, like you can with stocks or commodities. But if you already had a sackful of Pmags you paid $12 each for, and sold them for $80 each during the frenzy, you made a nice profit. If you get the chance to buy them back later after the frenzy from people who "don't need them now" and are willing to sell them cheap, then you profit again.

It's all about moving stuff in and out of the markets. The right things, at the right times, and the right prices. It's fascinating how much money people can make (or lose) with stocks, bonds, options, commodities, currencies, etc., just by moving them in and out, without ever actually seeing or touching them.

Sucks for them, I know I took the rights steps and the panic has not effected me.

Same, paid regular price for my rifle at LibertyUSA. Shop around enough for ammo, and the prices aren't that bad, yet...
