View Full Version : Magpul versus CO Legislation Thread
Of coarse its my high school principle that is absent... $5 says magpul goes to Utah. #1 business state and gun friendly.
Would be nice if they worked out a deal with Lake City to fill up the mags before shipping!
Oh and.... it's been the #1 scam state in the past. Lots of bribeable politicians in Utah so Magpul should be g2g, especially if they want to start a MLM..
Here are the Dems who voted against the bill:
Edward Vigil, Fort Garland, HD62
Leroy Garcia, Pueblo, HD46
Steve Lebsock, Thornton, HD34
Call me a cynic but I'm thinking these guys just might be vulnerable in the next election and were given the go ahead to vote against these bills, knowing they had enough votes without them. I could be wrong and if anyone can vouch for these guys I'll send a letter of thanks to him/them.
Dems hold a majority in the Senate 20-15, so only 3 of them need to defect. IMO, the Senate is the last best shot to kill this bill.

Done:
These gun control bills are being pushed by extremists exploiting recent events and citizens' fear, uncertainty and doubt -- along with a goodly amount of disinformation.
Not one of these bills is based on factual information about reducing violent crime or reducing the danger from psychopaths or sociopaths.
They will all harm our individual security as well as infringe on our freedoms.
How will you vote?

Dear Senator,
While I have never been a political activist nor have I been a party line voter, these emotion driven gun bills have pushed me beyond my tolerance of government intrusion. The fact is instead of working on the violence, mental illness, and family value issue, our lovely State Reps focused on criminalizing law abiding citizen such as myself.
Gun ownership is not partisan. This has been proven many times in past election!
I am angry, worried, and ready for the next election. So may I ask you, how will you vote on these 4 bills that will affect my private properties, ability to defend myself, and most of all my vote?
Respectfully Yours,

I'm just saying, if you're writing letters it's better to not sound like a neanderthal :)

And I am saying, I speak Engrish. The very same language of the majority of DEMs' voters. They actually pay more attention on someone like myself with accent/Engrish. Go figure.

Perhaps it would help if you pointed out just what e-mail or letter you think has spelling errors or sounds like a Neanderthal.

I don't know how to do multiple quotes. No reason to call anyone out personally either. Consider it a blanket statement ;)

I probably sounded like a Neanderthal, don't really give a shit. I was courteous, factual, simple, short and to the point - which is more than I can say about the democrats. And the guilty folks on this board who didn't contact their rep. at all.
If you don't like that, well then...
So sad, how the vote went today. Assholes really have no clue about what would actually help lower violence. Has NOTHING TO DO WITH MAGAZINES, idiots. Magpul posted this on their Facebook page today:
.
We're hearing some rumors that the Gov and the Dem caucus think we are bluffing. Just to clarify for them, then...we're not a political company. We dont play political games. We've made our position very clear, very publicly. We would not survive lying to our customer base, nor would we ever consider it. If you pass this, we will leave, and you will own it. We've already got plans in place to get PMAG manufacturing moved rapidly, and the rest of the company will follow. We will make sure to at least have a small remain-behind operation through the 2014 elections so that we can remind folks why we are gone.
.
Great picture I found posted on the CSC (motorcycle) board today as well:

A friend of mine also posted that. We just need to make sure our reps hear our voices and let them know this is not ok
The problem is that our "representatives" with a (D) designator, do not care about citizen rights, do not like the Constitution or Bill of Rights and are totally dedicated to the Marxist agenda.

They may as well ban sombreros...it'll have about the same effect on anything as their current proposals will.
I, for one, hope Magpul uproots and relocates BY THE END OF THE WEEK to the closest retail spot just across the Wyoming border. Then they can put up huge billboards with big "F*CK YOU COLORADO LEGISLATURE" and "F*CK YOU HICKENLOOPER" signs along with one that says "$58 MILLION IN REVENUE AND 600 JOBS NOW BELONGS TO WYOMING!"
Going to be a long, depressing week trying to figure out retirement plan "B."
It might be more like 800 to 900 jobs not to mention the support into those jobs by third party suppliers. The 600 is just 1st line direct jobs and exclusive parts suppliers.
On the bright side, I came home to a new box. My last order of ten black windowed 30-round Gen2's to add to my stockpile. Non-panic price. Small consolation to this crap, ugh.

I've heard upward (especially the past 6 months) their revenue was $85+ million. I think that's conservative. Depressing BS
Like Colorado pot-holes...better get to lovin' em! ;)

Following this shit on facebook is making my blood boil. No one gives a shit about the big picture, everyone just wants them to move to their state. United we stand or divided we fall. We aren't doing a good job of presenting a unified front. Time to go to the gym to blow off some steam....

Pisses me off as well, but it is what the people of GD do. The trite comment is new to them so it must be new for everyone. For those that have been watching this train wreck for a few weeks the comments are getting ooooooold. Unfortunately, the socialist creep will eventually take 'em all down since the R party can't put up a candidate that doesn't insert his or her foot firmly in their mouth.
