When I first read the story, it sounded like they didn't know the bear was in there, the Scoutmaster was pointing out the cave, and then the bear came out and started pulling him inside. Still not smart to be close to a cave entrance when you don't know what's inside but I don't know how close they really were -- bears can move awfully fast when they want to.
The sad part is there is no Go Pro!
