That makes sense. We protect the President and DOS personnel with guns but why don't we transition to rocks. I would request a drug test of this school superintendent to see if he tests positive for eating tide pods like his students. That is the only acceptable response to this decision.

This is a good thing.
Not a terrible plan. But the fact that the deputy stopped the Maryland shooter in under a minute with a gun, maybe more effective options exist. I remember a story from a while back about a teacher and canned food. She made the 10 year olds practice throwing tuna cans and such. Classroom looked like a food drive.
While I commend the thought I will agree, the Superintendent is stoned.
I guess anything that gives one a fighting chance is better than being a hide in place target of opportunity.
