For those who?ve went through a NON CONTESTED divorce in this state, were you required to provide a pretty extensive list of financial statements, property, personal item size down to tools, furs, jewelry, GUNS, etc?
i just find it hard to believe all this would be needed in a non contested situation.
I think the better question isn't "do you have to" it is "what happens if you don't".
And a lot of that boils down to how amicable this really all is.
TLDR: It's not like the court reporter is going to go through your house with a clipboard. You self report, and there isn't an issue unless your future-ex spouse decides to make an issue.

I went through an uncontested divorce in another state and didn?t have to do anything like that.
It was an amicable thing and she and I actually went together to see a lawyer and had him draw everything up. I can?t remember how everything went but basically it just said that a fair and equitable splitting of the assets had been agreed upon by both parties but details weren?t included about the specifics of the assets.

I have been through an "amicable" in CO. It's been a while. We split everything up and there were no lawyers involved. We went to the county building (Larimer) and told one of the clerks what we wanted to do. She gave us the appropriate paperwork and we were on our way. I think it took 6 months before we got the confirmation paperwork back.

Just went thru it here (I know it's not CO). I used an online service that guaranteed the paperwork would be accepted by the court. The paperwork asked for all that stuff...we just put down big stuff like cars and what would happen to the house. Gave it to the clerk and she notarized it. Judge signed it 21 days later. After it was done we even did a few things differently than what was in the agreement. Nobody cared. As far as a process goes, it was pretty simple. Hell...we're still living together until I close on my house the end of the month.
