SD Card hub?
I use SD cards quite frequently between the 3d printer and game cameras. My current PC doesn't have a usb card slot, and I am using thumb drive usb adapters. I would like to get an SD card hub that allows me to insert and remove SD cards without removing the USB drive itself. I want to insert the card, read or load data, eject the card as appropriate, and load a different card without having to re-insert the usb adapter.
I suspect my google searches are not using the correct terms. Any suggestions?

Search for an SD card reader or adapter. If you really want a hub, look for a dock or something that has an SD card reader built into it.

If your PC is a desktop and you have a spare slot on the front then there are things like this you can get

The trick with the PC mounted options you need to verify that you have a spare interface (often USB) to hook it up.
I opted on my last computer build to dump that device for an extended USB cable + a simple USB based card reader/writer.
I have a few Anker USB 3.0 SD Card Reader, 2-in-1 SD Card Readers and they seem to work well.
With the extended USB cable it made it easy to access the device to swap out memory cards. I could always keep the
card reader installed....

For a desktop 3.5" bay install, I have this one and it's great with the high speed USB-C and SD card readers.
But, yes it does require plugging into the mainboard headers. I just have an older low end MSI MB.

My mid-tower PC hangs off the end of my DeskHaus just below the top so it's handy to use the slots.
