Interesting story. I think all the parties in the story are destined to lose.
The Raiders will eventually try to raid the wrong house and pay with their lives. But for those who choose to bug-in, all it takes is somebody hungry enough and mad enough to throw a Malitov cocktail and your fortress is now a smoldering heap.
