So. Our family moved to CO on year 1993 and it was before Rockies first season.
On the radio.
First Rockies strike out
First Rockies base hit/2b/3b/hr.
First Rockies this and that till about July.
Rockies this Rockies that....
Took me a while to open upto Rockies.
How'd the move go?
It went well! I got in to Austin on Tuesday, picked out an apartment and applied for it that night, was approved and moved in on Friday! My mattress set got trashed, sadly, so I slept on the floor that night, then a new bed arrived on Saturday. I don't have any living room furniture, so the TV is sitting on some boxes and I chill in a beach chair, lol! I have some furniture coming in this week to improve that, but I still need to find a couch. I'll post up some photos tonight.
I like the apartment complex. It's set back a ways in some woods, so its very quiet, but only about a 10 minute drive to work.
Congratulations, brother. I remember those days when I first moved to CO, totally on my own with next to nothing except some money to live on while I looked for work. It was a very "freeing" time of my life. Sounds like you're off to a good start being in a good place with your job close by. Best of luck to you!
: )
You like auto racing, and at least you have some local options there (including F1). Congrats on the re-lo!
Glad to hear the move went smoothly!
