It went well! I got in to Austin on Tuesday, picked out an apartment and applied for it that night, was approved and moved in on Friday! My mattress set got trashed, sadly, so I slept on the floor that night, then a new bed arrived on Saturday. I don't have any living room furniture, so the TV is sitting on some boxes and I chill in a beach chair, lol! I have some furniture coming in this week to improve that, but I still need to find a couch. I'll post up some photos tonight.

I like the apartment complex. It's set back a ways in some woods, so its very quiet, but only about a 10 minute drive to work.

Congratulations, brother. I remember those days when I first moved to CO, totally on my own with next to nothing except some money to live on while I looked for work. It was a very "freeing" time of my life. Sounds like you're off to a good start being in a good place with your job close by. Best of luck to you!

It's not a real move if you don't sleep on the floor at least one night!

Makes your back feel extra special after lifting boxes/furniture all day.

Thermarest, wool blanket (and maybe a woobie), lawn chair, and TV/computer monitor on cinder block tables. Nothing more required for a bachelor.

Pizza was absolutely the first meal had in this place. Well, first HOT meal. The first meal was a bag of Doritos.
