Never saw the day I?d see a cruiser in my garage and for damn sure never thought I?d see an HD in there. Well I started falling in love with cruisers and ended up finding a cherry 2004 VROD. One owner, 8k miles and not a single scratch on it. I?m having a blast on it.

The V-Rod is pretty quick, for sure. What year did they go to the larger fuel tank?

Harley Davidson
The most effective way to turn gasoline into noise without producing any horsepower
Wow that Harley Davidson is as loud as a semi, too bad it doesn't have the horsepower to get itself up that hill!

Don't laugh. My Road King will do 90...easy. Maybe 91 going slightly downhill. That's what I like about Harleys...they go barely fast enough to kill me.
Just a shout out: It's tire season, and Dunlop is running rebates of up to $60 on a pair of tires and ANY labor (including tire installation) when purchased for a ProDealer, so if you guys need shoes for your mechanical children, let me know. If the Mods have an issue with this, please delete or move as appropriate!
Thanks for the reminder. Mine could use some new tires any time now. May have to swing by when I get a chance.
Kazoo once told me many many years ago:
?What?s all that speed without class??
I?ve owned over 20 rockets and they just aren?t as appealing to me anymore. Something about being able to ride in comfort and still have some speed is more appealing then going 100mph+. 1/4 mile times are going to be similar but stop light to stop light, it?s hard to beat two jugs.
My grandpa was bald and rode and restored Indian motorcycles. He once told me that if he was a Harley guy, he'd probably still have all his hair.
Why are motorcycles and ATV's so expensive? I've been browsing Craigslist and people have stuff listed at stupid prices. I saw a 1979 Honda 185XLS (NON-RUNNING) listed for $850! I used to have one of those bikes. That thing is worth like $200. I hope so at least, because I traded it to a scammer on here for some work on my Amigo back in the day.
The older Japanese bikes are getting expensive. Guess vintage stuff is just cool and collectible. I built a cafe racer out of an old KZ400 years ago and had maybe $700 into the whole project. When I sold that bike I turned about a 300% profit on my investment. Thought I?d do another one like it a few years back but finding a reasonably priced bike was all but impossible so I lost interest.
I?m still always kind of keeping an eye out for a cool vintage dirt bike project.
I don't even bother to look at new stuff because I know they all cost more than I'm willing to spend on my normal vehicles. The cost of Razors is astounding to me.
When I see the price of the Razors all I can think is I?d rather have a used Jeep for that kind of money.
If you ever get to see Razors in action in a place like Moab, you get why people love them so much, but dang!
*We're totally planning on renting a Razor for a few days next year. We watched a turbo Razor launch from a stop light during the car show parade and it was a thing to behold.
Vintage dirt bikes are my preference. Lots of patience to find deals.

Picked this up last year and currently searching for it's 4stroke cousin.
I?m always looking out for a great deal on an old Yamaha IT465 or DT400 or maybe a YZ490. I?d like to set one up in a flat track configuration.

Got rid of the Gunslinger seat, put an old cop seat back on it. Took off the rear lowering link. Got rid of the chrome saddlebag guards (saddlebags still pop on and off easily). Added passenger floorboards instead of pegs. Got a removable Mustang passenger seat, for the times when wifey wants to ride. Much more comfortable. Still need to drop the floorboards a bit.
for reference, as it looked this morning:

Careful lowering the floorboards. Mine is stock and I scrape those things all of the time.
Just got back from a short ride. Deer Creek through Turkey Creek, Evergreen then home again. This King has no problem hitting "the ton" though I don't do that very often lol. Went from going to sell it to improving the intake and tuning to now I love it even more ahahaha. Happy Independence Day everyone!

My first bike in 1972 was a Honda SL70. Lately I've had the itch for one. I obviously don't make enough money to afford a 72cc 35 year old bike. FFS are they pricey in running condition.
7.5 hour trip to Salt lake city wednesday then back today..... ouch on my h2. Uncomfortable after 1-2 hours, outright agony by hour 6. By the last hour I'm going numb and changing position every 30 seconds trying to relieve the pain.
But was a nice ride, fairly scenic for being highway 80. I noticed wyo/utah drivers all will get over out of passing lane, but colorado drivers I'd have to pass on the right with prejudice. I also posted a pretty impressive high score speed before traffic became visible ahead and I started slowing down. (I'll only do stupid stuff when no one else is around to be at risk) Was suprisingly stable, I might not need to do a steering dampener after all.
3 of my rest breaks was just to clear my helmet visor of bugs....
Riding today. Not sure where or when. Hopefully the wife can help decide. Maybe I?ll get lucky and miss any bad weather.
Actually decided to check the gas mileage on the supermoto today. Topped it off, rode 100 miles, and topped it back off with 1.3 gallons.
Looks like it got 76.9 miles per gallon.
Put that in your tailpipe and smoke it Prius drivers.
