Have a friend selling a Honda cruiser for a decent price.
Sorry, not into razors.

The Honda XR650, with 13x52 sprockets, does 55mph on road but will climb trees. I like climbing trees.
Tfogger is getting me 14x48 sprockets. More speed could be dangerous.
We shale see.
Anything over 75 or 80 on a dirt bike spooks me a little anyways.
duplicate post, sorry
Got rid of the "geezer glide" lol (hey I'll be 63 very shortly) and picked up this little runaround scoot. Brought it home yesterday after an exhaust change and dyno. It's a total hoot to ride and for my day rides it's just perfect. Can't tell in this pic but it has very nice pinstripe on the tank and tail piece in orange.

I guess I can say I ride a DT50MX now. Well still a work in progress, but it rides again!
Looks like now I ride this Yamaha TTR-225 and this older 2-stroke 400cc Yamaha. Pretty excited to have a good bike to learn on! The only other bike I've ever had was that Honda 185XLS from like 1989. It was a good bike, but I was a kid with no way to get anywhere to ride.

My wife had one of those 225?s. It was the first four stroke dirt bike I ever rode. I found it very easy to ride wheelies on it. Wasn?t much fun catching air as the suspension was a bit lacking.
I don't know anything else, so I'm still excited. Plus I got a great deal on everything, so that helps.
Don’t let the age of that 400 fool you. That’s not necessarily a great “learning” bike - it’ll likely have some ridiculous power.
Yeah, I'm kind of afraid of it.
Anyone titled a motorcycle without papers? FIL got it but never did title before he died. Mobile home flooded after his death and we lost most of the docs. Damn, my life dounds like a country song.
This one...2014 Honda VFR800 Interceptor...

A title search will cost $2.20 at the DMV in Lakewood. If you can contact the previous owner, you may be able to get a duplicate title and have them sign it over. otherwise, you'll most likely have to do the bonded title route, which is tedious and time consuming, as well as moderately expensive.
My grandmother recently passed on my mom's side. We have been helping to clear out the house so they can get it on the market (Canon City if anyone is interested). My uncle had the bikes there, but says he already has enough bikes. Some of you may remember that my grandfather on my Dad's side passed a few years ago and I came into some old bikes he had. Since I don't care for old shit, I talked to my uncle and traded straight across (+ $560 on my part) for these newer bikes and a mower! I'm super excited!

Cute. We should race sometime.
Got to love the green machines :)

Been making some minor changes on the Roadster; pulley cover, foot/shifter pegs and still trying to find the type of bars I want. Enjoying the hell out of this scoot, bringing me back to the bikes of my youth.

I got that TTR to turn over today with a borrowed battery, but it's still not starting so I'll probably take the carb out and clean it when I have the time. Initially, when I turned the gas on, it would drain straight out of what looks like an overflow tube. I hear that is a sign that the floats might be stuck. I rapped a bit on the carb with a screwdriver handle and it stopped leaking. Replaced the plug even though it looked fine. Oil level is normal and looks brand new. I guess I'll have to actually go through it instead of hoping it'd start right up.
The needle and seat are sticking. I'm sure the pilot jet is plugged as well. The carb needs a complete cleaning. When you pull off the float bowl it will smell sweet- that's the sign of bad gas. The aromatics evaporate and leave varnish that plug all the tiny holes that make a carb work. You need to take out the mixture screw(s) as well and blow through the passages. An hour with WD-40 and a compressor will have it good as new. Don't forget to lightly grease the o-rings and don't use sealer on the float bowl gasket.
I cleaned the carb on the bike, pilot jet was definitely clogged. I've been riding it for about a week now.
No good fix for the carburetion, that's a 2 stroke thing since there's no power valve to broaden the powerband. The rear shock is probably not economically feasible to fix, but fresh oil and recharging the nitrogen will help. As far as front suspension and brakes go, finding a disc brake front end from a mid 90s YZ250 would probably be the best upgrade, and should be fairly easy to bolt up. Either that, or just try to ride within the limitations of the bike, and realize that with most riders, it's not going to be as fast or competent as more modern trail bikes. It'll still go 99 percent of the places they'll go, but it's gonna take more time and finesse to do it.
Oh good. Finesse is practically my middle name! No problem then. ;)
I believe the rear shock on the TTR is not serviceable. It has to be replaced. My best advice would be to keep the bike and use it as a learning bike and to mess around on. If you get serious and want to progress, get another one. The TTR is a great easy riding machine, but will never be high performance. Spending money on suspension and other upgrades is a waste of money.
Yeah search lost title/bonded title Colorado. I've done it once, but it's been a long long time ago in a Galaxy far away. IIRC you need insurance, an affiant (notarize something), a bill of sale or possibly a death certificate or some other evidence, a bonding company you can work with, then you buy a bond from them, then take it to the DMV, and pay your registration and get a title. Like a monthlong process that costs about 10% of the value, lol.

Also a 400 two-stroke is likely going to try to wheely when you really don't want it to... make sure you have VERY good instinct to let go of the throttle with any major issue, otherwise you'll be one of "those" people in a gif online. Basically cranking the throttle suddenly (like when you're falling off and hanging on for dear life) will guarantee to raise the front wheel and send you careening around on a unicycle if you're inexperienced. Even older 220/250s can do this. A 400 is Super-Mario 3.
I was talking about the DT400. However, I did look into TTR mods and it seems like the basic intake, exhaust, and rejet are about all people do. Some change the gears, and a few have mentioned stiffening up the shocks a bit.
I monkeyed around on my wife?s TTR quite a bit when we bought it because all of my previous dirt bike experience was on two strokes so I was curious about the four stroke. While it definitely isn?t suited for motocross, I found slow trail riding fairly enjoyable.
Got out today for about 5 hours before the weather takes a shit tomorrow LOL. Highway 73 outside of Evergreen, lots of riders out today. I modified a HD Ventilator a/c cover to work with the Sportster Screaming Eagle a/c. Very happy with how it came out and matches the look of the bike.

My old Sportsters were fun but looking at yours just brings back memories of back, knee, and elbow pain. And a sore tush.
