Same EXACT thing happened to mine two weeks ago. Same code, same answer from RCBS. I'm now using my 25yr old Lyman balance beam, no cord and the batteries never wear out.

I looked up error 02009 = programmed end of warranty failure mode.

RCBS had said the same thing regarding my 750, SOL. Asked them how can a company that touts their products as being some of the best , tell me SOL? Guy said ok we'll send you a new one. Sure it's not the top of the line like your's, figure they'd at least offer a discount.

Are you going with another Chargemaster, or??

Looks like Brownells has the Chargemaster on sale at $299 and I believe RCBS has a Rebate on top of that, so some decent pricing right now.

Already ordered another from Brownells. With a RCBS $50 rebate and an online Brownells $50 coupon it came to $215 shipped.

It is a made in China POS under that green plastic. I was unimpressed with their corporate answer, but I bought it knowing it only had a one year warranty.

I did say "I thought you guys rebuilt them for $200?" He informed me that deal ended in 2013.

When I did my Brownells math, I just chalked it up to a lesson learned. Not worth getting all wrapped around the axle about.

Needed to reload for some time. Got 250 rounds done during a spare hour this morning.
