Killed my RCBS Chargemaster last night/this morning. I didnt use it that much all in all, but it was handy to have on the bench for small batches of stuff when I did not want to screw with my Prometheus.

Error code 02009. Called RCBS and it turns out it is a fatal error. Being more than a year old they told me I was SOL. No biggie. I get that. Electronics die and they dont make them. They just stick their label on them.

Time to get a new one from Brownells.

RCBS had said the same thing regarding my 750, SOL. Asked them how can a company that touts their products as being some of the best , tell me SOL? Guy said ok we'll send you a new one. Sure it's not the top of the line like your's, figure they'd at least offer a discount.

It is a made in China POS under that green plastic. I was unimpressed with their corporate answer, but I bought it knowing it only had a one year warranty.

I did say "I thought you guys rebuilt them for $200?" He informed me that deal ended in 2013.

When I did my Brownells math, I just chalked it up to a lesson learned. Not worth getting all wrapped around the axle about.
