Thanks.
You seem to know the military. What is Designated Marksman and it's MOS? All I know is that M16A4 and M14 are Designated Marksman Rifles.
Does Support Fire Infabtryman exist in the Army? And what's the MOS? I may know another poser...shit...

I've never heard of Designated Marksman- in the Army we have Snipers, but it's added on as an ASI (Additional Skills Identifier), usually added on to 11B or 19D (Cav Scout) MOSs- at least those are the only MOSs I've seen snipers in my experience, and most of them used M21 or M24 sniper weapon systems (M21 is a modified M14, and M24 is a military version of the R700).
Support Fire Infantryman does exist, sort of, I'm assuming they meant "indirect fires infantry" aka mortarman- that's an 11C.
The infantry has (had) designated marksman in the squads. Usually an accurized M16A4 issued, built by the Army's marksmanship unit at Fort Benning. The Guard has a training program for SDM's.

innovations: 2002: Designated Marksman
A New Kind of Sniper
During ground combat missions, sniper teams cover long-range targets, while rifle squads provide short-range fire. In 2002, the Marine Corps found a way to increase the effectiveness of the team with the addition of a Designated Marksman to cover mid- to short-range targets.
The best rifleman in each squad is assigned to the Designated Marksman position. This Marine uses an M14 automatic rifle or M16 assault rifle with telescopic sight to provide fire on mid-range targets at two to five hundred yards.
With the accuracy of a sniper and the rapid-fire capabilities of a rifleman, the Designated Marksman is able to adapt to various conditions and increase the efficiency of the ground combat team.
