They're completely different- IIRC Marine MOSs are 4 digit, army are two with a letter (mostly). So example:
    0311 is a USMC Rifleman
    11B is an Army Infantryman.
    0800 is a USMC Artilleryman
13B is Army Artillery (cannon crewmember).
Now, tear that little poser a new one!

    Thanks.
You seem to know the military. What is Designated Marksman and it's MOS? All I know is that M16A4 and M14 are Designated Marksman Rifles.
Does Support Fire Infabtryman exist in the Army? And what's the MOS? I may know another poser...shit...

I've never heard of Designated Marksman- in the Army we have Snipers, but it's added on as an ASI (Additional Skills Identifier), usually added on to 11B or 19D (Cav Scout) MOSs- at least those are the only MOSs I've seen snipers in my experience, and most of them used M21 or M24 sniper weapon systems (M21 is a modified M14, and M24 is a military version of the R700).
Support Fire Infantryman does exist, sort of, I'm assuming they meant "indirect fires infantry" aka mortarman- that's an 11C.

And how would you have him pronounce "Corps"? As "core" or as "corpse"? Maybe he isnt a faker and you really just have no idea what YOU are talking about?

    Ummm, I dont remember...

Jk. Pendleton all 4 years, 2 with CLR17, 2 with the 11th MEU CE supporting CLB11. My MOS, well, thats a long story better told over grainy hoppy drinks. Besides a fairly fun deployment, my proudest accomplishment was this "battle hammer" we made....

Anyways, Im playing Devils Advocate here because we've got a guy who never served and cant even pronounce Marine Corps, so why are we allowing him to judge someone who may very well have been a Marine?
