With a little more training he could do better than 1/3 success rate.
I thought that was the whole idea? ;)
Typical political DA BS. As if the victim's gun was the problem here?!?Quote:
Arapahoe County District Attorney George Brauchler is now looking at many possibilities.
"Who can legally possess firearms under this circumstance? If there was a concealed weapon, who had the right to have a concealed weapon and did they have a lawful permit?" Brauchler asked. "We're looking into all of that."
Just checked out the map associated with the article. This occurred very close to Buckley and to my company's facilities in Aurora (just a few blocks away).
I'm wondering if the intended victims are associated with the Base or one of the nearby defense companies. If so, and either way, it was definitely the wrong choice of victims to rob.
I wonder how much this quick buck is going to cost these 3 juveniles and their families. So far we're up to the cost of an ER visit for 2, hospitalization for 1, and the cost of a funeral for 1. Plus, for the 2 survivors there will be legal defense costs. Yeah, I can see how whatever the intended victims were carrying was so totally worth it; NOT.
Dumbasses will be dumbasses. Too bad their mommies & daddies never drilled into them that this sort of activity was wrong and that it could get you killed. I suspect though, the mommies & daddies will be exclaiming 'My baby didn't do nothing'. It seems to be the trend these days when an intended victim turns the tables and makes a culprit into the victim of their own stupidity. Wouldn't it be nice to see a parent/family member stand up and say "I tried to raise the boy right but he was just too damned stupid to listen; he got what he deserved. I want to apologize to the fine folks my child intended to do harm to."
I'm more concerned with what it will cost us the taxpayer to fund these idiots public defenders, the court costs and eventually jail time.
Amen.
And my neighbors think that I am crazy ( even more so ) when I have a pistol on my hip when mowing my lawn or duing other yard work.
Crap like this is exactly why I am planning my escape from Aurora. I know stuff like this can happen anywhere but what used to be nice areas of Aurora are becoming crime ridden ghettos full of didntdonuffins. This garbage is starting to become the norm, not the exception. If I didn't have family obligations trapping me here, I would have been gone already. Anyone contemplating moving to Aurora - Don't.
