Oh I don't envy you late model diesel guys at all, my 11 Xterra will probably be half that of a 15 dura max .
I have a trailer I bought at Harbor Freight seven years ago for, IIRC, about $230. I just paid the registration on it and it was $44 for a year. $44 x seven years = $308, so I've now paid far more in registration fees than I paid for the &#@$ing thing. [Rant1]

The "taxable value" is the original sales price of the vehicle when it was new. I have six vehicles I buy plates for each year.
My 94 Suburban was $117 this year and I drove 200 miles all year. Add to that insurance and the diesel requiring E testing every year. Even though it's paid for, I think my monthly rent payment just to "own it" is getting a little high. The odometer did turn 49K miles this year though.
