Congrats! Some of the best advice I got is advice I didn't want to follow. Take the high road, and refrain from disparaging remarks about ex when son is within earshot.

Different view. Kinda like a belated new start. New circumstances, do something new and adventurous. At 8 yrs old I introduce minions to alpine slide. Then pizza and pop.
