Every post in that thread, with the exception of the very first one, is saying how that letter had nothing to do with ATS.

Copy that! Worst customer service ever experienced. I've been playing with diesels for over 10yrs and I'd go with PPEI tuning or HPP tuning if all you want is egr and dpf delete. With that said, my '14 Cummins is stock but the +13 trucks run better stock with def. If I had a '12 or older it would be deleted and tuned probably with HPP.
do it yourself and save a crapton of money, I've done 4 of them it takes basic hand tools and a couple of hours tops, I run efi live from ppei and get it from rsd as they have the best customer service, if you have the auto get the trans tune above anything else you do, the 68rfe does a relearn process every time you tune be easy on it for 50-60 miles every time you flash the ecm, if you have a manual you'll be good I just recommend a clutch sooner than later, you will see why if you turn it up and hammer it they slip bad.if you do order from them put RSD in the coupon code box and you will save 5-10%, just get the delete pipe option and you can swap out the emission crap and plug everything back in under the truck and the hood when you have to test, they send you a stock file to reflash on the ecm if needed. you're lucky with yours being a 2012 mine is a 2014 and its a whole different monster and costs a bunch more money and time to delete.

I'll second RSD.....James is good people!
since we've traded in the past, I have a downpipe/delete pipe you can have no charge from my 2012 mega it goes from turbo to the muffler you would just have to trim it a bit if you have a crew/reg cab its in great shape, downside is its in pueblo but its yours if you want it.
What about hardway performance EFI live tune?

I had a real bad experience with ATS too. Spent 4Kish on a trans when I had my 2nd gen and had problems with it right away. It was like pulling teeth to get the issue resolved which it never fully was. They were cool answering questions and returning my calls before they took my cash then zero customer support after I drove away from their shop.
Buzz me tomorrow or come swing by and I can help you make a plan for you Cummins. Heck if we time it right I could use some free labor lifting my bed off so I can get a new Airdog II in.
Good advice on the DIY. I also used RSD and the EGR and full turbo back exhaust only took about 2-3 hours.
