Closed Ear Lowers

I'd never have known what to call it either.

Let’s call them J. Edgar Hoover. Or tater tots.

Anderson refers to them as closed ear which is where I picked it up.

And there you have it.

And now I have it logged for future reference.

I have a couple, of a different brand, and I like them.

I figured that a closed ear lower was just a gun that wouldn't be open to any of my suggestions.

I have an Aero M4E1 lower I haven't built out yet but it seems completely idiot proof with an integrated trigger guard AND a threaded bolt catch.
I've never had an issue with the trigger guard installation but I have had the bolt catch roll pin go south on me a few times.
