I guess we got lucky! Had a well drilled at our retirement home in the southern part of the state, 400', 10 gpm for $4,900. It was 6 years ago though and I'm sure prices have gone up. Had a local walk every inch of 35 acres and witched the spot to drill and said we'd have water in 300'. They hit water at 297' and I had them go an extra 100' for a reserve in case the water table went down.
