I have encountered the exact same experience with folks who yap away from the get goand volunteeer info without me asking etc.

No that wasnt it at all, I didnt say anything about washing until after his reaction.
I just said initially I was part of my class. He didnt say ANYTHING about his class he graduated from.

I agree 100% yappers usually are either full of b.s. or want a pat on the back...

Hard to guess what his reaction was really about. Give him a chance to prove he is a goof or not by himself without any prodding.

Even if he is a story teller, he might make a fine neighbor.

I know how you feel. I've never been in the service but it irritates me when people lie about military service, my next door neighbor also claims he was a SEAL [Bang] I'm pretty confident there's no chance in hell he was
