Thats not nice. I have NEVER thought that about ANY of the people who told me how much they wanted to be a Marine but for whatever reason just didn't.

My expereience is most that volunteer alot of info or start yapping about what they did without knowing you or you asking, usually is a flake.

I have encountered the exact same experience with folks who yap away from the get goand volunteeer info without me asking etc.

No that wasnt it at all, I didnt say anything about washing until after his reaction.
I just said initially I was part of my class. He didnt say ANYTHING about his class he graduated from.

As nice of a guy and all the good he does for the Legion and VA, at least what he said in our convo, just makes me wonder.

Hard to guess what his reaction was really about. Give him a chance to prove he is a goof or not by himself without any prodding.

Even if he is a story teller, he might make a fine neighbor.

I know how you feel. I've never been in the service but it irritates me when people lie about military service, my next door neighbor also claims he was a SEAL I'm pretty confident there's no chance in hell he was

I thought it was for every 100 "Bar" SEALs there are just 1 actual SEAL.
